Clothes A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I bought an ornamented cloth of the best silk, which was folded up. When I unfolded and hung it, I found it rotten in the middle.” “Did you buy an Andalusian slave?” asked Ibn Siren. “Yes,” said the man. “Did you have sex with her?” “No,” said the man, “for I have not yet checked her.” “Don’t bother to do so, because her genitals are stinking.” And so it was when the man had his new slave checked by his women.

Marriage to One's Mother, Sister Etc. If a person dreams that he is marrying his mother, sister or any such person with whom marriage is forbidden is Islam-and such a dream is seen in any of the sacred months of Thil-Qa'dah, Thil-Hijjah, Muiharram or Rajab-it means he will proceed to Makkah and Madeenah. But if such a dream is not seen in any of the said months it means he will treat his relatives with kindness and serve them well. Incident - The conflicting interpretations It is reported that a person came to Ibn Sirin (RA) and said: “O Imaam! I dreamt that I was proclaiming the athaan!” The Imaam interpreted the dream thus: “Your hands shall be amputated (through stealing)”. Then came another person who related a similar dream. The Imaam interpreted his dream thus. : “You will proceed for Hajj.” The Imaam's students were amazed at these two conflicting interpretation of two dreams which resembled each other in every respect. Siddiqun Whatever this blessed angel of dreams gives or tells will take effect as it is, for he is in charge of such a duty. The arc angel Saddiqun in a dream also represents the speaker of the house, the translator of the palace, the one who delivers the royal decree and knows the inner secrets. Seeing him in a dream also represents piety, medicine, clarity, perspicacity, transparency of one's vision, the school teacher who keeps looking at the blackboard, the librarian, an official speaker, logs, or books. Buying Meat from the Butcher If a person dreams that he has purchased meat from the butcher who delivers it to his house it means he will experience ailment in that portion of his body which is linked to the meat. Yaaqoub (5) An absent son or a missing relative will come back, or there will be a reunion with loved ones. (5) A reference to grief, sorrow, and the loss of one’s family, especially the most cherished child; the interpreter of dreams; frequent travel; plenty of money; price increase; and lost or found objects. (6) Some wicked person will try to swindle the dreamer out of his money or drive a wedge between him and his son.

Buffalo The buffalo should be interpreted as a bull that does not work. Nevertheless, it symbolizes a courageous man who fears no one, who endures beyond his capacity, and who likes to do good. The she-buffalo should be interpreted as a cow, even insofar as her milk, meat, and skin are concerned. If a woman dreams that she has a horn like a buffalo: (1) She will rule. Back The back symbolizes the person’s back, support, center of power, sure resort, and value.
• Being bent: (1) Tragedy. (2) Hair will turn white.
• Seeing a friend’s back: He will turn away.
• Seeing the enemy’s back: Will be safe from harm from this enemy.

Eating the Innards of a Goat If a person dreams that he is eating any portion of the innards (such as the liver, fat, spleen, heart etc.) of a goat, it means acquiring wealth. The same is the case if the becomes the owner of any portion of the innards. There is no difference as to whether they are cooked, roasted or fried. Companions • Seeing one of the companions of the Holy Prophet, like Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq, Omar ibn El-Khattab, Othman ibn Affan, and Ali ibn Abi Taleb, or all of them alive: The dreamer is blessed with a strong religious faith and a powerful family. He will also be promoted, dignified, and exalted.
• Seeing the Prophet’s companions repeatedly in one’s dreams: Things will go for the better.

Fig A fig means plenty of money or money from Iraq. A fig tree refers to a man full of money and a philanthropist but to whom the enemies of Islam turn, because such a tree usually shelters snakes. Most interpreters like those dreams involving figs, because Allah swore by it in the Holy Quran when He said, “By the fig and the olive, by Mount Sinai, and by this land made safe; surely We created man of the best stature” (“Al-Tin” [The Fig], verses 1–4.) Eye • Dreaming that one’s eyes have been pierced: The dreamer will lose someone or something very dear.
• Seeing something white in or around the pupil of the eye or a kind of screen: Trouble, deep worries, losses, and loss of aspirations.
• An absent relative returning blind: The dreamer will die.

Drum Seeing a drum in a dream means false news. Dancing on the drumbeat in a dream means that a calamity will befall that house. If one sees himself turned into a drum in a dream, it means that he is experiencing confused dreams. A one sided tambourine represents a woman with many faults. Liver The liver symbolizes money. It is also the center of anger and mercy. It also alludes to children and decency. And there is no distinction, in the interpretation of dreams, between human and animal liver.
• The liver coming out of the body: The reappearance of hoarded money.

Fortuneteller (Magic practice; Medium; Prophecies) If a Fortuneteller sees himself gathering white sand in his dream, it means profiting from his trade. A Fortuneteller in a dream represents someone who can explain the meaning of things, a man of knowledge, an emissary, a dream interpreter, a treasurer or a supply controller. Seeing a Fortuneteller in a dream also signifies stagnation of businesses, a recession and a slump. Bodyguard (Agent; Escort; Secret service) A bodyguard in a dream represents someone who deceives people and leads them astray. If one sees his house filled with agents wearing white uniforms, it signifies glad tidings of recovering from an illness, or that he will escape from adversities and dispel his fears. If such agents in the dream are dressed in black uniforms, then they mean a sickness, distress or depression, and what they say during that dream also identifies their purpose. Ali Ibn Abi Taleb • Seeing Ali alive: Will be envied by others, but God will save him from their evil eye and give him power. He will also follow the Prophet’s Tradition.
• Seeing Ali as an old man carrying a weapon: Will be in touch with the ruler and benefit from such a relationship.
• Seeing Ali in his forties: Will consolidate your grip.
• A wise man seeing Ali with white hair and beard: Knowledge will dwindle.
• Ali seen in a place where people are prostrating themselves before him or carrying him on their shoulders: Those people will become dissidents (Shia) and come together to sow the seeds of dissension.19 Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Turkish bath If one sees himself as the attendant of a Turkish bath facility or a bathhouse, and if he stood by and did not serve the customers in the dream, it means that he is a pimp and a bastard who brings benefits to no one but rather wrath. If one sees himself wearing a white uniform and serving people in a dream, it means that he washes people's hearts and dispels their trouble. Public bath in itself denotes many meanings. Heart The heart symbolizes the dreamer’s wife. It also refers to his courage, tolerance, forgiveness, temerariousness (guts), quality, generosity, endurance, and righteousness. Anything wrong in it in a dream applies to the body, as the heart belongs to the body and makes it live. But the interpretation of dreams involving the heart by the ancient Arabs was often paradoxical.
• The heart coming out of the body: Religious faith and fidelity.

Insult The rule in such dreams is that the aggressed is always better than the aggressor, as the aggressed must ultimately triumph.
• Being insulted by a person: (1) The dreamer will be harmed by that person, then triumph over him. (2) The one who insults owes something to the dreamer and is duty-bound to settle it.
