Honey And Butter Coming From The Sky It is reported either on the authority of Ibn Abbas or on the authority of Abu Huraira that a person came to Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) and said: Allah's Messenger, I saw while I was sleeping during the night (this vision) that there was a canopy from which butter and honey were trickling and I also saw people collecting them in the palms of their hands, some more, some less, and I also saw a rope connecting the earth with the sky and I saw you catching hold of it and rising towards the heaven; then another person after you catching hold of it and rising towards (Heaven) ; then another person catching hold of it, but it was broken while it was rejoined for him and he also climbed up. Abu Bakr said: Allah's Messenger, may my father be sacrificed for you, by Allah, allow me to interpret it. Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) said: Well, give its interpretation. Thereupon Abu Bakr said: The canopy signifies the canopy of Islam and that what trickles out of it in the form of butter and honey is the Holy Qur'an and its sweetness and softness and what the people get hold of it in their palms implies major portion of the Qur'an or the small portion; and so far as the rope joining the sky with the earth is concerned, it is the Truth by which you stood (in the worldly life) and by which Allah would raise you (to Heaven). Then the person after you would take hold of it and he would also climb up with the help of it. Then another person would take hold of it and climb up with the help of it. Then another person would take hold of it and it would be broken; then it would be rejoined for him and he would climb up with the help of it. Allah's Messenger, may my father be taken as a ransom for you, tell me whether I have interpreted it currectly or I have made an error. Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) said: You have interpreted a part of it correctly and you have erred in interpreting a part of it. Castle The towers of a castle in a dream represent the leaders. Its battlement represents the solders and spies. Its gates represent the guards. Its fortress represents the minister. Its hospices and barns represent the clan or the coffers. It is also said that a castle in a dream could represent an infallible and a strong person. Flying on the Back of a Vulture If he dreams that he is flying horizontally on the back of a vulture, he will enjoy honour, sublimity and power by being promoted to the office of kingship. But if the vulture flies with him vertically towards the heavens, he will die while on a journey. For, such a vulture would then represent the angel of death. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
House The house gate or door is the father of the family. The mortise and tenon symbolize the female and male sexual organs as they fit into each other. Locked together, they represent the husband embracing his wife. By extension, the mortise and tenon could also refer to the couple’s two children, a boy and a girl, to two brothers, or to two persons sharing the same house. Stair • A sick person climbing stairs till reaching the top: He will pass away. If at last he enters a room, his soul will go to Paradise. The reverse is also true.
• Standing on the ladder: The dreamer likes to overhear, in view of the Quranic verse: “Or have they any stairway (unto heaven) by means of which they overhear (decrees)? Hand • The ruler cutting the dreamer’s right hand: The dreamer will lie while taking the oath or swearing.
• The dreamer’s hand being cut at the ruler’s gate: The dreamer will part with his possessions.
• The hands and feet being cut off from behind: The dreamer is extremely corrupt or will rebel against the ruler.

Masjid A known mosque in a dream also could represent the renowned scholars who live in that place, or the ruler of that country, or any of his ministers. If one enters a mosque and immediately after crossing the entrance gate, he prostrates himself to Allah Almighty in the dream, it means that he will be given the opportunity to repent for his sins. If one comes to a Masjid and finds its doors locked, then if someone opens the door to him in a dream, it means that he will help someone in paying his debt, then extol his good virtues in public. Prison Entering a prison in a dream also means longevity, or reuniting with one's beloved. If one chooses to live in a sanctuary away from people in a dream, it means that he will be protected from sin. If a sick person leaves his prison cell in a dream, it means that he will recover from his illness. If a prisoner sees the gates of his jail open, or if there is a hole in the wall, or a ray of light, or if the ceiling of one's prison disappears and he can see the skies and stars above him, or if he can see them through the walls of his cell in a dream, it means that he will escape from jail. Incident Soon after that, I visited my father, and my friend proudly reminded me of his interpretation. Later on, I travelled away from home. When I returned to my town, I passed by a graveyard. At the gate stood a woman who was guarding that cemetery and whose eye was bandaged with a blue piece of cloth. I knew her, so I stopped and asked her about the news. She said to me: 'May God grant you a long life. Your father has passed away.' Then she took me to his grave, and I fell on it, crying and wailing, exactly as I saw in my dream. Doorman In a dream, a doorman represents a royal person or a powerful man. If one sees himself in a dream as a doorman, and if he employs a servant to assist him in the dream, it means that he will climb to a powerful position. To see oneself as the king's doorman in a dream means debts, but if one finds himself working as the prince's doorman or door attendant, it means occupying a seat of authority. Night of power (The night in which the Holy Quran was revealed.) Seeing and experiencing the night of power in a dream means that one's wish will come true, even if one desired a kingdom or a great treasure. The same interpretation applies for seeing a celebration of the night of the Nocturnal Journey during which the Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, ascended to the heavens to meet his Lord. Arabic months If the dream happens during the sixth lunar month, known in Arabic as Jamada-al-Thani, and if the dream carries a good meaning, it will come, but slow and one should not contradict it. If one sees this dream during the seventh lunar month, known in Arabic as Rajab, it means that he will gain a dream and status, for it is the month of the prophet's Ascension (Miraj) and his night journey to the seventh heaven. Pleiades The Pleiades represent a trenchant and foresighted man, because when they appear in the morning they mark the beginning of summer. The Pleiades at the zenith or vertex of the heaven in the morning mean that we are at the middle of summer. Seen in the evening, they herald the start of winter. They also allude to trade, bad religion, divination, and death, as in the case of Ibn Siren, who knew of his own demise ahead of time. (See related biography at the beginning of this book.) Sidratul Muntaha Or The Lote Tree Of The Ultimate Boundary That tree was the last thing that the Muslims Holy Prophet Muhammad saw before crossing the “no-man’s space” that goes beyond Heaven and separates it from the Sublime Throne. It is prohibited even for angels. As a kind of privilege, the Prophet was transported, one night called the night of the Israe and Miraj, from the Sacred Mosque (of Mecca (Makkah)) to the Farthest Mosque of Al-Quds, or Jerusalem, and shown some of the Signs of God. The Hadith literature, which recounts the Tradition and sayings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, gives details of this journey. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Falcon it symbolises a tyrant ruler or king who is powerful and well known as a warlord. Acquiring or owning a falcon which obeys his commands means he will acquire assets and estates; he will also wield power by way of his appointment to kingship. Similarly, if it is seen flying horizontally with him on its back, he will enjoy honour, sublimity and power by being promoted to office of kingship. And if it is seen flying with him vertically towards the heavens, he will die while journeying. The same is the interpretation if he sees a hawk or any other bird of prey. Tree The tree symbolizes religion and sects in view of the allegory in the Holy Quran of the good tree (date palm) and the good words: “Seest thou not how Allah coineth a similitude: A goodly saying, as a goodly tree, its roots set firm, branches reaching into Heaven.” (“Ibrahim” [Abraham], verse 24.) Likewise, the Muslims Holy Prophet likened the good tree to the Muslim. Gulf A gulf represents one's partisans or his immediate entourage, or it could represent a gate if the seawater thus indicates in the dream. If the water level of such gulf rises at a time when the tides are low in the sea in a dream, it means a rebellion in the land. The same conclusion is made when the opposite is true. In a dream, a gulf also represents a shelter and safety from havoc. Gulf in a dream also indicates the middle road, a middle man, an average person the level of whose righteousness or spirituality is summed from the degree of his ease, or it could represent serious devotion. Dome Building a dome over clouds in a dream means marriage, power and rank. Seeing green domes standing between the heavens and the earth in a dream means that one's deeds are raised to be worthy of blessing, or that he might die as a martyr. If one sees four men demolishing a dome in a dream, it means that a renowned scholar in that locality will shortly die and his elements of earth, fire, water, air and either will destroy one another.
