Quince The quince itself is disliked by most dream interpreters, who regard it as a sign of disease in view of its color and because it looks as if it were gripped. Some say that it refers to a trip, owing to the etymology of the word. (The Arabic name is safarjal and safar means “travel.”) But it could be a successful or an unsuccessful journey. Shoe • Taking off one’s shoes: The dreamer will triumph and be given a high post in view of verse 12 of the Quranic chapter called “Ta-Ha,” in which God, addressing Moses, says, “Verily I am thy Lord! Therefore put off thy shoes: Thou art in the sacred valley Tuwa.” (Moses then triumphed over the pharaoh and prevailed.)

If Mecca becomes one's home in a dream, it means that he may move to live there. Seeing oneself in Mecca mixing with departed souls in a dream means that one will die as a martyr. Visiting the holy Kabah in Mecca during a business trip in a dream means concern and attachment to material gains and worldly profits. Love Love, especially if ardent, symbolizes temptation; a lust for debauchery; preoccupation; deep worries; all sorts of unhappy and sad events; the inability to keep silent; frustrating; hard tests; scandals that earn the dreamer’s people’s sympathy; blindness; muteness; poverty; hunger; annihilation; various diseases; trips to remote and dangerous areas; and death (in case the subject is ill).
