Cow • Milking a cow and drinking that milk: If the dreamer is poor, will become self-sufficient or rich and be dignified. If he is already rich, his wealth and prestige will be enhanced.
• Eating cow ghee: More wealth.
• Being offered a small calf of either sex: Will have a boy.
• Beef and entrails: Money and assets.
• Being given cow skin: Such a skin being taken from the dreamer means he will pay a fine to the authorities.

Vice-regent A vice-regent or a caliph in a dream also represents someone who establishes the laws of his religion and follows the example of Allah's Prophet, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam. Whatever he is wearing in the dream connotes one's own state, or the growing or diminishing of his devotion. If one who is promised something sees the vice-regent or the caliph in his dream, it means that his promise will be fulfilled, and his wishes will come true. Seeing him in a dream also means that someone from a different circle is backbiting him, or speaking of him without his consent, or that people are reporting him to the authorities, or that scholars are discussing him, or mentioning his work. Cauterize (Brand; Burn; Castigate; Punishment; Seal; Sear) Cauterization in a dream denotes a ruler, or it could mean painful words. If one's forehead or sides are seared or cauterized in a dream, it means that he is obviating or hindering the distribution of charities or the due alms tax on one's assets, or it could mean a crack down by the authorities on people who are evading to pay their taxes, or it could mean separation between dear ones. Swimming If he swims with fear in a dream, it means trouble, imprisonment, or a sickness he will endure depending on the type of needed efforts or distance he has to cross. Jewel • Looking at a jewel or a pearl that does not gleam or glitter or any kind of glass that does not shine: Beware of strangling disputes and hardships because, says Ibn Siren, the hot, running blood (nafs) in the body is like the refraction of light in glass and jewelry.
