Ali Ibn Abi Taleb • Seeing Ali alive: Will be envied by others, but God will save him from their evil eye and give him power. He will also follow the Prophet’s Tradition.
• Seeing Ali as an old man carrying a weapon: Will be in touch with the ruler and benefit from such a relationship.
• Seeing Ali in his forties: Will consolidate your grip.
• A wise man seeing Ali with white hair and beard: Knowledge will dwindle.

Greetings If two merchants greet one another in a dream, it means that their business will succeed, and if the second merchant does not reply to the greetings in the dream, it means that their partnership will dissolve. If one's enemy greets him and brings a gift to him in a dream, it means that he is seeking reconciliation and is willing to pay damages for a settlement. If one is greeted with an unknown expression and to which he replies with a common greeting in the dream, it means that he will be saved from a fatal accident, though he will be rewarded for his reply. Spear • Placing a spear behind the door or covering it with one’s arm: Wife will give birth to a girl.
• Stabbing with a spear: Will falter and commit a sin, backbite, or slander somebody.
• A spear breaking: Bad omen and decaying influence. If it is the chief’s spear, an enemy will emerge or the chief will be deposed or have an accident. If it belongs to the son or the brother, a tragedy will befall him. In case it can be repaired, the victim will escape or recover or things will return to normal. If it is beyond repair, the subject will die.

Prince • Seeing a prince (in Arabic amir, meaning “he who gives orders to people, uses them to impose his authority, but also save them or comes to their rescue”): (1) A bachelor will get married and become the prince of his family at home. (2) Endeavours will be successful.

Guarantee (Bail; Collateral; Escrow; Security; Surety) In a dream, a guarantee means commitment or a promise to take responsibility for something. If the content of the guarantee is of good nature, such as charity, or a guarantee of safe conduct, or a promise to satisfy a need, or a promise to save someone in need, then the dream represents the good character and nature of the person seeing it. Rue (Peganum harmala; bot. Herb of grace) A wild African rue plant the seeds of which resemble sesame seeds. Seeing it in a dream means investing lawful money to save a bad investment from an unlawful source. Church • Seeing a church being destroyed, burning, or undergoing some other calamity: Stronger religious faith (for the Muslims) and defeat for the polytheists and the hypocrites.
• A church turning into a synagogue or vice versa: Some accident will befall the aliens (non-Muslims) living in an Islamic country.
• Seeing one’s house as a church: (1) Will talk the language of the Christians and turn one’s home into a meeting place for the whimsical, the heretics, and those who commit all sorts of sins. (2) The dreamer’s chief will be angry with him.

Fart If one forces himself to break wind in a dream, it means that he will carry a burden greater than he can bear. If one breaks wind along with passing gas in his dream, it means that he will attain success in his life, and he will receive honor and profits from an important business trip. However, it is possible that his interests will become diverse, or that he could lose his focus, then he will return home free from such burdens. To fart from the mouth in a dream means faltering or a slip of a tongue, an accident, suffering from gum irritation, a stroke that will affect one's speech, or it could mean developing ill habits that will cause him to feel ashamed of himself in public. Odor Smelling a bad odor in a dream means hearing bad words, or it could mean distress. Smelling odor that emanates from under the armpit in a dream means headache, nasal congestions, cold, or hearing bad news, divulging secrets, dispelling rancor and jealousy, or it could mean relaxing after an exhausting workday, contracting an eye disease, or it could mean loathsomeness. Pot Putting a pot with meat and vegetables on the stove in a dream means imposing oneself on someone to receive a favor. Interpretation According to the Varying Conditions of people If a righteous and noble person sees himself as handcuffed or placed in a pillory. It means he will remain safeguarded against mischief and wickedness. But if the observer of such a dream is wicked it suggests that he will commit excessive sins due to which he will be doomed to hell-fire May Allah, through His infinite mercy, save us from hell-fire, Ameen. Veins (Blood ties; Family; Relative; Vessel) The veins of the children of Adam represent their tribal belonging or clan. The parable of one's veins is like that of a tree and its branches. One's veins in a dream represent his family members, depending which part of the body they belong to. The condition and beauty of one's veins in a dream denote their counterpart in one's family. Lamb In a dream, a lamb represents one's son. If one sees himself slaughtering a lamb in a dream, it means that either his son or the son of one of his relatives may shortly die from an illness or an accident. If one is offered a lamb as a gift in a dream, it means that he will beget a noble and a blessed son. If one sees himself eating lamb in a dream, it means that he will earn his money through such a son. Wound A wound which does not bleed in a dream also represents recognition by others. If a man of authority is wounded in an accident, whereby his flesh splits open, and his bones are dissected in a dream, it means that he will live a long life to see the burial of most of his relatives. If an army general sees his left hand wounded in a dream, it means that his army will double in size. If his right hand is wounded in the dream, it means that the area of his control will expand. Drowning Drowning in a dream means falling into sin and incurring the displeasure of Allah Almighty. Drowning in a dream also means entering hell-fire. If one dies of drowning in his dream, one should fear going astray or following innovations. Drowning in the sea, then floating in the process of trying to save oneself from death in a dream means indulging in the business of the world and forgetting about one's spiritual commitment. If one sees Allah's prophet Hud in a dream, it means that he will suffer harm from ignoble and ignorant people, then he will escape from a great distress, and be saved from their evil. Citadel If one sees himself wandering in a desolate region outside the castle in the dream, it means that he will fall prey to his enemy. If one builds a castle or a citadel in his dream, it means that he will guard himself from his enemy, protects his chastity, property and person from adversities and humiliation. The opposite will take effect if he sees himself demolishing such a castle or citadel. Hedges If one sees that the green hedges are replaced with a wall, a fence, or a ditch in the dream, it represents the rising star of the owner of such a garden. If hedges are interpreted to mean the world, then they could also represent one's family, relatives, progeny, one's religious life and the deeds that could save one from suffering in hell-fire. Butcher The unknown butcher symbolizes the Angel of Death or a swordsman. The known one is whoever is fair in distributing his wealth to his children and other heirs. Usually, dreaming of a butcher is a harbinger of hardships, save in two cases: If the dreamer is indebted it means that his debts will be settled, and if he is chained he will be delivered.
• A butcher slaughtering a beast whose meat is prohibited: A reference to an unjust person who does not heed God’s injunctions.
• Distributing meat: The dreamer is slandering or backbiting.
