Daoud • A person eligible to become a judge or a governor dreaming that he has taken the image of David or worn his clothes: Will become as such. If the dreamer is a blacksmith or an iron manufacturer or merchant, he will become prosperous from that business. If he is just a pious man, he will have plenty of welfare, but not without weeping and sorrow and extreme reverence to the Almighty.

Lion The lion is a ruler, a tyrant, or a powerful and very dangerous person, in view of the ferocity and devastating anger of that animal. It also symbolizes the warrior, the swindler, the thief, the treacherous worker, the policeman, the insatiable enemy, and perhaps hardships and death, because he who stares at it turns pale, loses his self-control, and is as good as dead, says Ibn Siren. Furthermore, it represents the ruler who embezzles public funds and commits injustice and the lurking enemy. The lioness symbolizes the daughter of a king. The baby lion (lion’s whelp or cub) is a boy. A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I was embracing and nursing a baby lion.” When the great seer looked at him, saw his humble appearance and miserable garments, and understood that he could not be eligible for any honour, he said, “What could you possibly have to do with the children of princes?!” and he added, “Is your wife, by chance, breast-feeding the son of a prince?” “Yes,” was the reply. Acquiring or owning a falcon which obeys his commands means he will acquire assets and estates; he will also wield power by way of his appointment to kingship. (5) Promotion of virtue and deterrence from vice. (6) Will go on hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca (Makkah)). (7) Will be severely harmed by an unjust tyrant, then God will make the dreamer triumph over that tyrant and all other enemies. Antichrist (arb. Dajjal; Imposter) In a dream, the Antichrist represents a contemptuous, deceitful and a tyrant ruler. He does not fulfill his promises and he has a following of wicked people. His appearance in a dream also indicates the supremacy of one's enemy over him or over his land. This will involve massacres, evil, deception, trials and bloodshed. If a traveller sees the Antichrist in his dream, it means that a band of robbers may attack him. His appearance in a dream also denotes the conquest of a land which is saturated with evil. Beehive In ancient times, if a king or ruler saw himself replacing the bees, it meant that he would select a heavily populated country, rich in legitimate resources, to add to his dominion. If he managed to enter their beehive, it meant that he would triumph and rule in the selected country. If he took the honey and left nothing to the bees, it meant that he would behave as a tyrant and confiscate the people’s property. Its whiteness represents her beauty. The pinnacle of the masjid bespeaks her nobility and honour. And I found no other woman with such beauty and honour except the daughter of At-Tayyaar. Then I looked at the hawk which symbolises a tyrant and despotic ruler. I found Hajjaaj fitting this description. Village If a village is completely destroyed by fire, or floods, or freezing temperature, or by locusts, or plagues in one's dream, it means suffering under the oppression of an unjust ruler or a tyrant, or it could mean destroying an anthill. Moving from a village into a city in a dream means leaving one's toiling and hardships behind him. Defeat If a believer sees himself defeated in a dream, it means that he will wear the helmet of a warrior and win the battle against his enemy. If one is given a scale for measuring, or if he becomes a measurer or a measuring controller, or a surveyor in a dream, and if he qualifies, it means that he will be appointed as a judge, or as a leader.
