Record keepers (Angels; Spiritual) Representing the heedful angels in charge of guarding the writings of the Preserved Tablets, and the heavenly beings or scribes in charge of recording peoples deeds. Incident - The Effect of a Dream's Meaning During a pilgrimage to Mecca, a sheikh was told in a dream that he would die on such and such date. When he returned home, he held that dream to himself and waited for the time to come. Once he passed that date stated in his dream, he waited a few more days, then told someone about it, saying: "I would have hot told you about this dream, had the date not passed." The person replied: "Perhaps you miscalculated the date, or maybe it is a confused dream." After returning to his home, the sheikh died during that same night. A Spinning Wheel A spinning wheel used for separating the seed from cotton symbolises journey to be undertaken. If a man sees himself as spinning wool, hair or camel hair it means hew will soon undertake a journey and return with halaal provision in abundance and wealth which will be a means of great barakah and blessings for him. If he sees himself as pinning cotton or the bark of tree such as is normally done by women it means he will undertake a journey and will return with goods. But such goods will be regarded as undesirable or unclean by the people. If a woman happens to see the same dram it means that her relative who is absent will return soon. Example of Species A specific tree like the date tree or a walnut tree. The date tree may be interpreted as an honorable Arab gentleman since date trees are mainly indigenous to arab countries. As for the walnut tree, it represents a non-Arab person since these trees do not grow in the land of the Arabs. The same applies to birds. Tree • Seeing many date palms in an unusual place: Will command as many men.
• Seeing many date palms in a garden or a fertile land and taking their fruits: Will obtain money from honest and noble people.
• A dead person sitting on top of a tree or owning one:
• If the tree is big and beautiful, the dead man is in Paradise.
• If the tree seen in the dream is ugly and full of thorns or black and filthy, like the Zachum oil tree or the thorn tree, he is being tortured in Hell.

Examples of the Nature and Characteristics of Things A date tree. This may be interpreted as total goodness and virtue since the date tree is regarded as a tree constituting total goodness as is known from the hadeeth. One the other hand a walnut tree may be interpreted as a person who is deceptive as well as quarrelsome. Why? Tree The tree symbolizes religion and sects in view of the allegory in the Holy Quran of the good tree (date palm) and the good words: “Seest thou not how Allah coineth a similitude: A goodly saying, as a goodly tree, its roots set firm, branches reaching into Heaven.” (“Ibrahim” [Abraham], verse 24.) Likewise, the Muslims Holy Prophet likened the good tree to the Muslim. Sadaqa ALMS GIVING.
• Dreaming of alms giving depends on the dreamer. Such a dream made by a religious scholar or an erudite man means that he will be conveying his knowledge to others. The same dream made by a ruler means that he will be in charge of more people. To a craftsman it means that he will teach his craft to certain persons, etc.
• Giving sadaqa to the poor: (1) No more worries. (2) No more fear.

Defending someone's honor In a dream, it means commanding good and forbidding evil, protecting one's family and giving a good advice to the assailant. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Palm Tree The dry palm tree symbolizes a hypocrite.
• Cutting a palm tree: The death of a great and knowledgeable man and/or his children.
• Owning many date-palms: (1) For a ruler, an additional province or more power. (2) Good business for the merchant. (3) Gains for the market dealer.
• Strong winds uprooting palms: An epidemic will erupt in the area, or God or the ruler will punish the people and make them suffer.

Charity Giving charity in secret in one's dream also could mean seeking the friendship of people in authority, or to join the circles of people of knowledge. If a man of knowledge is asked to give money in charity, and if he complies in his dream, it means that he will expound his knowledge to others. If he is a merchant, it means that he will benefit others with his business or teaches them his trade. If he is a craftsman, he will teach people his craft. If one who is under pressures, or if one is scared of something sees himself feeding a beggar who is undergoing his own trials in a dream, it means that one's fears and stress will be dispelled. Charity in a dream also denotes celebrating Allah's praises, devotion, visiting the graveyards and doing good.
