Arched bridge Crossing an arched bridge that leads to the palace of a ruler in a dream means receiving money, or it could mean getting married to a noble person. An unknown bridge in a dream represents the world and particularly if it connects the city with the cemetery. It also could represent a ship, or the Bridge of the Day of Judgement, for it is the last hurdle before reaching paradise. Entering Paradise If he is poor, it means that he will become rich or receive an inheritance. If a sick person sees himself in the abode of the hereafter healthy again in a dream, it means that he will reach it free from the ills of this world, its adversities and temptations. If he is not sick, then entering the realms of the hereafter means glad tidings, business success, a pilgrimage, ascetic detachment from this world, sincere devotion, acquiring knowledge, strengthening of one's kinship or exercising patience toward a calamity which derives from one's own sins. Love • Being fond of or in love with someone: The mind is absent and religious tenets are neglected. However, the same dream could have different interpretations depending on the subject. For a scholar this dream would mean that he will lead people astray and tempt them with his rhetoric. For a small man, it would mean that he would rise, prove his worth and the relevance of his thoughts, and become famous and that his religious faith will be enhanced, earning him the best of two worlds. For a new convert to Islam he would further his knowledge of that religion and his faith would be strengthened. However, if he had broken the resistance of his beloved one and made love, either party is in danger of being flogged in reality. Paradise • Seeing oneself in Paradise: The dreamer will acquire wisdom and knowledge.
• Entering Paradise with a smile: The dreamer is recalling God very often.
• Unsheathing one’s sword and entering Paradise: The dreamer is advocating and promoting virtue and dissuading from vice. He will be praised and rewarded for his actions.
• Sitting under the Joy Tree: The dreamer will have the best of two worlds in view of the verse in the Holy Quran that says: “Those who believe and do right: Joy is for them, and bliss (their) journey’s end.” (“Al-Raad” [The Thunder], verse 29.)
• Seeing oneself in Paradise’s parks and gardens: The dreamer will be blessed with fidelity and religious perfection.
• Eating some of the fruits of Paradise: The dreamer will acquire learning, as much as was eaten.
