Hand • The ruler cutting the dreamer’s right hand: The dreamer will lie while taking the oath or swearing.

Donkey To own donkeys in a dream means mixing with a group of ignorant people. If one's donkey becomes obstinate and does not move forward except with beating in a dream, it means that one's sustenance and earnings come only through supererogatory prayers and increased devotion. An obedient donkey in a dream represents the vigilance of its owner. Driving a donkey inside one's house in a dream means bringing new income. Only the braying of a donkey is disliked in a dream, though the rest is generally beneficial. A donkey in a dream represents honesty in seeking one's livelihood and earning clean money. Masjid A known mosque in a dream also could represent the renowned scholars who live in that place, or the ruler of that country, or any of his ministers. If one enters a mosque and immediately after crossing the entrance gate, he prostrates himself to Allah Almighty in the dream, it means that he will be given the opportunity to repent for his sins. If one comes to a Masjid and finds its doors locked, then if someone opens the door to him in a dream, it means that he will help someone in paying his debt, then extol his good virtues in public. Foot If one sees himself eating the foot of another human being in a dream, it means that he will become a close friend with him, acquire his intercession, reap success from his connection, fulfill his needs, receive benefits in his travels, or if he qualifies, he may preside over a group of poor people or guide seamen to their catch. If he is a poor person, it means that his benefits to others are greater than if he were a rich person. If a rich man sees himself eating the foot of another person in a dream, it means illness, weakness or blindness. Incident Soon after that, I visited my father, and my friend proudly reminded me of his interpretation. Later on, I travelled away from home. When I returned to my town, I passed by a graveyard. At the gate stood a woman who was guarding that cemetery and whose eye was bandaged with a blue piece of cloth. I knew her, so I stopped and asked her about the news. She said to me: 'May God grant you a long life. Your father has passed away.' Then she took me to his grave, and I fell on it, crying and wailing, exactly as I saw in my dream. Doorman In a dream, a doorman represents a royal person or a powerful man. If one sees himself in a dream as a doorman, and if he employs a servant to assist him in the dream, it means that he will climb to a powerful position. To see oneself as the king's doorman in a dream means debts, but if one finds himself working as the prince's doorman or door attendant, it means occupying a seat of authority. Poem Memorizing a poem or a verse from a poem in a dream means engaging in a business from which one will acquire great knowledge, or it could mean profits or success in whatever trade one chooses to practice. If one sees himself in a court of justice reciting poems for money in the dream, it means that he will give a false testimony. If he recites a poem for a gathering in a dream, it means that he will relate a wise saying, though he himself inclines to hypocrisy. If one sees himself listening to a poem in a dream, it means that he will associate himself with a group of people who do not foster the truth. In a dream, poems also represent falsehood or vain talk. Reciting a poem or listening to one and memorizing its verses in a dream means that one should take heed to what it says. Torah • Seeing a Torah: (1) A reference to those who abide by that Holy Book. (2) Reunion with the absent. (3) Recovery of what is lost. (4) Wife will give birth to a male child. (5) Might mix with people who will spoil the dreamer’s religious beliefs. (6) Will see the Muslims Holy Prophet. (7) Wisdom, knowledge, and good conduct. (8) The breaching of an agreement.
• A bachelor seeing the Torah: • (1) Will marry a girl or woman from another ethnic group. • (2) Will travel extensively, because the Torah comprises several asfar (scriptures or holy writings, plural of safar, which in Arabic is a homonym for travel). • (3) Might marry an emancipated woman or one without a legal guardian.

Sheep A herd of sheep in a dream represents a good flock, obedient subjects, or good citizens. Sheep in a dream also signify joy, happiness, festivities, a wife, children, a farmland, properties, prosperity or wealth, and particularly when one pays the due alms tax on his money making ventures and liquid assets. Owning a herd of sheep in a dream represents a growing wealth. Passing by a herd of sheep in a dream means passing a gathering of men who have no brain. If a herd of sheep faces someone in a dream, they represent a group of people who will welcome him with a fight which one will eventually win. Paradise • Being driven or introduced to Paradise: (1) Death is near. (2) The dreamer will become wise and repent from sins at the hands of the person seen taking him to Paradise if that person can be identified.
• Being told, “Enter Paradise,” and refusing to obey: The dreamer is an apostate in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “Lo! they who deny Our revelations and scorn them, for them the gates of Heaven will not be opened nor will they enter the Garden until the camel goeth through the needle’s eye. Thus do We requite the guilty.” (“Al-Araf [The Heights], verse 40.)

Emerald Seeing an emerald in a dream denotes martyrdom or the blessings that are created for a believer in paradise. If one buys an emerald in a dream, it means that he will win a dear brother, associate himself with a group of righteous brothers on the path, raise well behaving children, acquire a useful knowledge, or earn lawful money. Gulf A gulf represents one's partisans or his immediate entourage, or it could represent a gate if the seawater thus indicates in the dream. If the water level of such gulf rises at a time when the tides are low in the sea in a dream, it means a rebellion in the land. The same conclusion is made when the opposite is true. In a dream, a gulf also represents a shelter and safety from havoc. Gulf in a dream also indicates the middle road, a middle man, an average person the level of whose righteousness or spirituality is summed from the degree of his ease, or it could represent serious devotion. Vegetable • Collecting a bunch of legumes from one’s garden or backyard: Evil and rupture on the part of a group of female relatives.

Imitating If a woman sees herself wearing men's clothing and imitating them in their look and actions in a dream, it means progress in her life if she is dressed handsomely, and it means digress and fear if not befitting. Relationships (Bond; Connection; Liaison) To have important connections in a dream means compelling one's enemy to retreat or to accept one's conditions. To have strong relationships in a dream cools the divine wrath, as does giving charity in secret. Vein The veins, arteries, or blood vessels symbolize the dreamer’s family. Whatever happens to them in a dream applies to the latter. The word erq, vein in Arabic, is a homonym for an ethnic group. Dog According to Ibn Siren, dream interpreters disagree on what a dog represents in dreams. Some of them regard it as a slave or a servant, others as a despot, a terrible person, and a slanderer, if it barks. The black dog is an Arab. On the other hand, a dog could also mean a weak enemy with little chivalry, if any. The she-dog is a mean woman. If she bites, such a woman would harm the dreamer. If a dog tears the dreamer’s clothes, it would mean that a low man would backbite him. For Al-Nabulsi, the dog symbolizes a policeman of low rank, a gate-man, or a guardian, a niggardly person, a weak enemy, and a stupid, profligate, and aggressive man who never hesitates to commit foolish or criminal acts, especially if it barks; it would mean that he has an awful temper, that he is terrible. Ring • Borrowing a ring: The dreamer will own something that will not last.
• Taking a ring from a king: A house the dreamer enters, dwells in, or owns. The stone is the gate or door of that house. A girl or a woman whom the dreamer marries and whose ring-shaped vagina he will deflower by introducing “the finger of his belly” (penis) in it. The stone represents her face.
• Wearing the king’s ring: (1) The dreamer will be given a province. (2) The dreamer will succeed his father. (3) In case the dreamer has no father or if his father is dead, the reverse of what he wishes will happen or he will be given a useless province.

Beggar If one sees beggars entering his house or his town in a group in a dream, it means dispersal of his family or household and if they take something from his house, it means a catastrophe. A beggar in a dream also represents a student, and the giver represents the teacher or sheikh. If one sees himself begging, but to no avail in a dream, it means that he will be humiliated.
