Sound of animals In a dream, the sound of a crowd means money beside other benefits. The bleating of sheep in a dream means distress and fear. The neigh of horses in a dream means might and honor. Laughing Laughing in a dream means happiness and joy in wakefulness, except if one bursts with a horselaugh or falls over his back from laughing in his dream. If so, then it means crying. If one's laughter in his dream is caused by a joke, then it denotes his dishonesty. The same goes for laughing by imitation in a dream which means falling into sin. Laughing in a dream also could mean sorrow in wakefulness. Laughing in a dream also means that one will receive news about a newborn son. If one's laughter in a dream is as gentle and soft as a smile, then it denotes his good character and means happiness, or it could denote exactly what he shall see in wakefulness. Hatred Hatred is a bad dream, because it is the reverse of love and peace, which are blessings from God, and the reverse of blessings is hard ships. The reasoning is based on a verse in the Holy Quran: “… and remember Allah’s favour unto you: how you were enemies and He made friendship between your hearts so that ye became as brothers by His grace” (“Al-Imran” [The family of Imran], verse 103.) One-eyed If a humble and a hard-working person sees that, it testifies to the trueness of his faith. If an impious person, or a corrupt person, or an impostor sees that dream, it means distress, a sickness that could bring him near his death, or to lose one hand in an accident, or to lose one's wife, or sister, or partner, or loss of blessings, or becoming sacrilegious and profane. Shelf A shelf supported with rods in a dream represents a chaste woman who protect her husband's secrets. Stream (Brook; Creek; Irrigation; Rivulet; Watering) In a dream, a stream represents the course of one's livelihood, his source of income, his shop, his trade, travels and the like interests. A stream in a dream also could mean festering wounds, waterskin, watering irrigation, the resting area on the highway, one's throat which is the watering access of his body, or it could represent life if it is public property. If it is a private property, then it represents the life of the person who digs out such a stream. A stream in a dream also represents a good life, or the comfort of its owner. Salt Salt has controversial interpretations. Ibn Siren did not like dreams involving salt. Some say white salt represents asceticism coupled with welfare and blessings. Cooking salt means worries, trouble, and disease or money earned the hard way and bringing about many problems.

Room • Building a room on the top of the house, while the wife is crying and wailing out of disapproval and despair: The dreamer will have a second wife or a concubine. If the wife looked beautiful and was perfumed and smiling (in the dream), the dreamer will receive a promotion and be better off. A sacred person dreaming of going up to an unknown room: He will be secure or the quality of life will improve and bring about plenty of joy and happiness. If ill, he will go to Heaven.
• Climbing to an unknown room followed by a crowd: The dreamer will become a chief, a spiritual leader, et cetera.
• A bachelor dreaming of being in a room: He will marry a beautiful, wise, and religious lady.

Ball of thread (Hank of yarn; Spool; Thread) For pensioners, seeing a ball of thread in a dream signifies increase in one's benefits or receiving extra income. A ball of thread in a dream also represents an astute worker, an employee, an intelligent and a hard working young man, or it could mean longevity. Candlelight (Wax) In a dream, a candlelight represents might or a noble son who is generous and giving. Melting wax of a burning candle in a dream represents hard earned, but lawful money. If an unmarried person sees a candlestick in his dream, it means marriage, an important appointment, a righteous man or guidance of a heedless person, or richness of a poor person. Fireplace If the fireplace or the stove is not lit in the dream, then it represents distress, worries and trouble, but if it is on, then it means fulfilling one's needs and earning one's livelihood through hard work. A fireplace in a dream also represents one's wife, his tools and instruments, his vehicle, or it could represent a place of gathering, one's rank, a chair, light, a woman in childbed, a father, a mother, a pregnant woman, one's shop or a helper. Monk Becoming a monk means: (1) The dreamer is extremely heretical in view of the Quranic verse: “… But monasticism they invented …” (“Al-Hadid” [Iron] verse 27.) (2) Life will get hard and everything will be coupled with humiliation and fear. (3) The dreamer is a wicked, deceitful, and cunning person inciting people to follow his heretical thoughts. Resurrection If one sees himself carrying the scale to weigh his own deeds in a dream, it denotes his righteousness and correctness. If one sees an angel handing him his records and telling him to read his own book in the dream, it also means that he is on the right path. Walking on the bridge of the Day of Judgment, carrying one's own records and crying in a dream means that one is praying for Allah's forgiveness and to ease his reckoning. If one sees the Doomsday in a dream, it means that he will escape from dangerous enemies, or that perhaps a major trial will befall the dwellers of that place. If one crosses the Bridge of Judgement in a dream, it means that he will escape a major trial, or perhaps it could represent a major hurdle one may have to cross in this life. Funeral If one sees himself lifted and placed in a coffin in a dream, it means that people will appoint him to a leadership position. If one sees a group of people performing a funeral prayers and crying over the loss of the deceased in a dream, it means that the conclusion of his life will be commendable. Otherwise, if they express no sorrow for his loss or cry over him, but instead criticize him in the dream, it means that the conclusion of his life will be contemptible. If a merchant, a governor or a leader sees himself sitting over a coffin that is moving freely by itself in the dream, it means taking a trip by sea. If one sees the coffin flying in a dream, it means that a great man of knowledge will die in that town and people will not know of it, or that a known person will die in a foreign land or on the way to or back from a pilgrimage. Fishing net In a dream, a fishing net represents trickery, deception, profits, knowledge, realizing one's hope, and victory over one's enemies if one owns a fishing net. If one sees himself entrapped inside a fishing net, it means that he may be jailed or fall to sickness or marry a rebellious wife, or it could mean money, or a child that will preoccupy him. Examples of the Nature and Characteristics of Things A date tree. This may be interpreted as total goodness and virtue since the date tree is regarded as a tree constituting total goodness as is known from the hadeeth. One the other hand a walnut tree may be interpreted as a person who is deceptive as well as quarrelsome. Why? Incident - a king trying to Annihilate the Muslims The king said: “This is your proof regarding the elephants. What have you to say about the drums?” He recited the verse: And when the trumpet will be blowns, this will be a very hard day for the non-believers-not an easy one. When the king heard this he became utterly shocked and perplexed since the Shaikh's explanation was rational and irrefutable. To avoid embarrassment to himself he dismissed the sheikh and his colleagues saying that he would have believed him if he (the sheikh) were not a Muslim. But since he is a Muslim he is biased in his delivery of interpretation. The Shaikh said: “You will soon find out for yourself, o king!”. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Donkey • A donkey braying over a mosque or on top of a minaret: An atheist will invite people to go his way, or a heretic will predicate his heresy. Conversely, a donkey crying as a real muezzin does, inviting people to respond to the call of prayer with a loud but melodious voice, means a disbeliever will embrace Islam or will proclaim the truth and serve as a model for others.
• A person dreaming that he has many donkeys: Will befriend some ignorant folk, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that says: “As they were frightened asses.” (“Al-Muddaththir,” verse 50.)
• Riding on a donkey and going on smoothly and harmoniously: Your endeavours are good and orderly.
• Eating donkey meat: Will earn money without partner.

Well If the water gushes forth, rises and runs outside of an old well in the dream, it represents crying and grief in that place. Digging a well and finding water to channel for one's garden in a dream means taking an herbal remedy to cure one's impotence, or to save his marriage. Falling into a well of muddy waters in a dream means that one may become subject to the tyranny of an unjust ruler. If the water he falls into is clear in the dream, it means that he will willingly work to serve a righteous man and for a nominal wage. Falling into a well in a dream also means demotion, or it could mean travels. Sitting at the edge of a well in a dream means dealing with a deceiving person. A collapsed well in a dream represents a dying woman. Reaching a well which is dug for the general public to draw from its water means getting relief after suffering from difficulties.
