Incident - The Tent and the Poor Man Once a man saw a big tent and a poor man sitting under it in his dream. The man under the tent was addressing a prince in Turkish and telling him without bending: "One thousand shirts, Oh Futuh!" When he woke up, the man told his dream to a sheikh, who replied: "The prince in that dream will attain a great kingdom." Sometime later, a man was placed on the throne and was known by Al-Malik Al-ZJihir , also known as Abi-Fatih Futuh. Remembering his dream, the man went to Al-Malik Al-Zahir and related his dream to him. Immediately, the king Al-Zahir ordered that one thousand shirts be distributed to the poor people of that town. Desert (Waterless plain) Seeing a desert in a dream means escaping from difficulty to ease, or bidding farewell to adversities to meet with opportunities, or it could mean repenting from sin, reversing the course of one's business from loss to profits, or it could mean recovering from an illness. If one sees himself poor and walking into a desert land or a ruin in a dream, it means his death. Walking through a barren land in a dream means engaging in a futile business or a benign affair. Banner If the banners are black in the dream, they mean that one will meet a man of knowledge. If the banners are white, then they represent a jealous person who will never be married. If they are yellow, they represent an epidemic disease. If they are green, they mean a journey by land. A banner or a flag in a dream also means that one will be wrapped in ambiguity in relation to a particular matter and he will not find a way out. If one sees a flag and a brigade in a dream, it means that he will be able to find his way through the difficulties and overcome his sadness and adversities. City A province in a dream represents its governor or renowned scholars. Governing a city in a dream means rising to a suitable position, getting married, recovering from an illness, repenting from sin, or receiving guidance at the hand of a learned sheikh. Seeing a deceased person walking alive in a city in a dream perhaps means that he is in paradise enjoying its blessings. Seeing a deceased person in a village in a dream means that he might be in hell laboring with its people. A city in a dream also represents the entertainment it provides for its dwellers. Stream If the people are inflicted with adversities or a drought, then it means prosperity and rains, food, or money and their merchandise will not stagnate. If the water in the stream is murky, or salty, or running outside its canal, then it represents a coming calamity that will cause mass sufferings, or a sickness such as cold in the winter and fever in the summer, or it could mean that they will hear bad news about some travellers, or it could represent a richness which is acquired from an unlawful source, or it could mean that he will receive tainted money. Village If a village is completely destroyed by fire, or floods, or freezing temperature, or by locusts, or plagues in one's dream, it means suffering under the oppression of an unjust ruler or a tyrant, or it could mean destroying an anthill. Moving from a village into a city in a dream means leaving one's toiling and hardships behind him. Hoof (Cattle; Horse) In a dream, a hoof represents knowledge and pursuing its references or tracks. It also represents wealth when the hoofs are those of the king's horse or of his messenger's horse. Hoofs in a dream also imply making a compulsory move from one location to another. Hoofs in a dream also mean guidance for a lost soul. Anus • Pulling something from one’s anus: Will get stuck or become needy.
• Going into an anus: Wrong approach or running after a difficult matter, because that duct is sterile.
• Seeing a person’s anus: Will see a gloomy face, and the owner of such a face will spend as much money as blood or excrement coming out of that anus the dreamer had seen. If such a person had passed the stool in the proper place, the money will be spent in the right direction, and the reverse is true.
• Seeing one’s anus has been obstructed: Will die.
• Seeing a young man’s anus: Will be defeated by him.

Marketplace It also could mean that the knowledge he is seeking is not intended to please Allah Almighty. If one sees himself shoplifting in a dream, it means that he steals, or holds contempt and conceit in his heart, or if he is a man of knowledge, it means that he will foster falsehood or become affected. If one sees a common marketplace on fire, or filled with people, or with a stream of fresh water running in the middle of it, or if it is fragrant with perfumes in the dream, then it represents good business for everyone and increase in their profits, though hypocrisy will later on spread among the people. Paradise If one sees that one of the gates of paradise is closed in the dream, it means that one of his parents will pass away. If two of its gates are closed in the dream, it means that he will lose his parents. If all of its doors are locked in the dream, it means that his parents are displeased with him. If he enters paradise from whichever gate he pleases in the dream, it means that both of his parents are pleased with him. If one is let into paradise in a dream, it represents his death. It is also interpreted to mean that he will repent for his sins at the hands of a spiritual guide or a wise sheikh who will lead him into paradise. Handshake • Shaking hands with and embracing an enemy: Cordiality will replace hostility, as the Holy Prophet said that handshaking increases cordiality.
• An enemy coming to shake hands or greet the dreamer: He is seeking reconciliation.
• Shaking hands with someone with whom there is no hostility: The dreamer will come to his rescue. In case there is a feud, the latter will win over.
• Shaking hands with a sheikh or old man the dreamer knows: The dreamer will marry or make love to a beautiful woman and eat all sorts of fruits, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “They and their wives, in pleasant shade, on thrones reclining; theirs the fruits and theirs (all) that they ask….” (“Ya-Sin,” verses 55–57.) Tears (Pearls) In a dream, cold tears mean happiness while warm tears mean sadness. Running tears over one's cheeks without crying in a dream mean slander that carries weight. Guarded tears in someone's eyes that do not flow over his cheeks in a dream mean storing illegal money, or disguising the unlawful source of one's income which one's adversaries will eventually unveil or expose. If such tears are finally shed in the dream, they mean that one will willingly spend such money, or get rid of it to conceal his act. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Star Eating stars in a dream means swindling people of their money. Swallowing a star in a dream means mixing with noble people and sharing one's personal life with them, or it could mean insulting or slandering the companions of Allah's Prophet Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam. Sucking on a star in a dream means learning at the hands of great scholars or a wise sheikh. If a Fortuneteller or an astrologer sees himself eating stars in a dream, it means that he will be selected to fill an important job from which he will prosper. Flee In general, fleeing means security, because of a verse in the Holy Quran: “Therefore flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from Him.” (“Al-Dhariyat” [The Winnowing Winds], verse 50.)
• Fleeing death or running away from a killer: Death is near, in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “Say: Flight will not avail you if ye flee from death or killing, and then ye dwell in comfort but a little while.” (“Al-Ahzab” [The Clans], verse 16.) Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Roasted meat (Grilled meat; Restaurant) To buy roasted or grilled meat from a restaurant in a dream means enrolling one's children in a school and entrusting them to a good teacher to educate them and properly train them. The owner of such a restaurant represents an educator, a trainer or a sheikh. Buying from him in a dream also means hiring a worker who is trained at the hands of an experienced master. If one sees himself roasting or grilling meat in a dream, it means that he may become a tax collector, a physician, a jailer, a torturer, a thief, or a murderer. Pimple (Abscess; Boil; Postulate; Pus; Swelling; Tumor; Ulcer) When one sees that he has contracted pimples that open, and if pus starts running from them in the dream, it means benefits or a booty. In general, open wounds and pimples in a dream represent money and profits, unless if they appear in high concentration or cause sufferings in the dream. Starling (zool.) In a dream, a starling represents an ascetic, one who surrenders to Allah's will, a true believer, a patient man, a traveller or a companion on the road. If one sees himself holding a starling in a dream, it means that he will meet someone of such caliber. If he eats its flesh, or pulls out its feathers in the dream, it means that he will receive benefits. A starling in a dream also may represent the element of mixing good deeds with bad ones, or a person who is neither rich or poor, neither honest or vile. Saw A saw in a dream also represents a cunning person, unfair dealings between people, hypocrisy, evil, an informant, or sexual intercourse. A saw in a dream also represents a helper, strength, profits, a public ordinance, a proclamation, a learned person, or a judge. A lumberman's saw in a dream represents an astringent and an austere headman. A marble saw in a dream signifies running out of tricks, or presenting an unsatisfactory proof. Thirst • Thirst: A flaw (something wrong) in one’s religious faith and a penchant for intrigue. A strong urge for sex.
• Being thirsty in front of a river but abstaining from drinking from it: The end of sorrow and troubles in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that says: “When Talut [Saul] set forth with the armies, he said: God will test you at the stream: If any drinks of its water, he is not of me, and whosoever tasteth it not, he is of me. A mere sip out of the hand is excused. But they all drank of it, except a few. When they crossed the river,—he and the faithful ones with him,—they said: This day we cannot cope with Goliath and his forces. But those who were convinced that they must meet God said: How many a little company hath overcome a mighty host by Allah’s leave! Allah is with the steadfast.” (“Al-Baqarah” [The Cow], verse 249.) Astrologer • Seeing an astrologer: (1) Will meet a liar who does not thank God for His gifts. (2) Will socialize with prominent personalities and know a great deal about them. (3) Will have access to and uncover secrets. (4) Will be curious when holding a conversation and consider true and dubious statements. (5) Sorrow and worries or exactly the reverse. (6) Marriage of a bachelor. (7) Separation between husband and wife. (8) The end of a pregnancy. (9) Death of a patient. (10) Good tidings or warning against bad habits. (11) Travel for someone who usually doesn’t. (12) Learning, action, and abiding by the Holy Prophet’s Tradition.
• Speaking like a diviner, telling oracles, or talking to astrologers: False hood and vanity, and to believe in such a dream, asleep or awake, is a sign of ignorance. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
