Ophtalmia Ophtalmia, or soreness of the eye, indicates that the dreamer is deviating from the truth and losing religious faith. Paradoxically, it could also mean that the subject is about to become rich. Other interpretations would have it that the dreamer will experience worries on the part of his children. Dreaming that ophtalmia has not reduced the eyesight means the dreamer is unjustly accused of religious misbehaviour and will be compensated by God for this damage. Raven • Seizing a raven (a small, dark bird with a red beak and red legs): (1) Influence or a leading position, achieved by merit, if eligible. (2) The dreamer will tell the truth or make a just statement that will not be accepted or taken well.

Painter The characteristics of such a person in the dream may be that of a hypocrite in wakefulness, or an ostentatious person, a toadying person, a hypocrite, a panegyrist, or a lauding person, though he mostly looks as a good, sincere and a hard working person. The value of his paintings varies depending on the subject treated. A painter in a dream also represents a person who loves flattery, self-adulation, an eloquently speaking person, a liar, one who fails his promises, or he could represent strength and authority. Spittle Spitting against a tree in a dream means to recant one's promise. Spitting at another person in a dream means despising him. Warm saliva in a dream means long life, while cold saliva represents a short life. The color of one's saliva in a dream shows the state of one's spirit. Rook (Carrion crow; Crow; Raven) Capturing a rook in a dream means receiving an inheritance, or it could mean presenting the truth before a jury in a court of justice that will be refuted, then presenting the judge with a false version that will be accepted. Cent (Money; Penny) Seeing one cent in a dream means an argument, falsehood, ostentation or pride. Swallowing a quarter and excreting it as a penny in a dream signifies that the person is a zendik or an atheist. Pennies in a dream signify evil, fights and speaking despicable words. Funeral Ceremonies, Obsequies According to Daniel Al-Sagheer, (Jr.) (sic), quoted by Ibn Shaheen, dreaming of having died, been put on a bier and lifted up, and that people are walking in the funeral procession means dignity and high honours, but a flaw in religious faith, unless it is known that no burial took place after that. According to Ibn Siren:
• Seeing one’s own funeral and people weeping and paying homage to the dreamer: Happy ending.
• Seeing one’s own funeral and nobody crying, but people rather speaking ill of the dreamer: Unhappy ending.

Cat A cat in a dream represents a book of records, one's share from a business, an inheritance, or his work. A cat in a dream also means shunning off one's husband, wife or children, or it could mean a fight, theft, adultery, disloyalty, eavesdropping, backbiting or bearing a child from adultery, a bastard child, or it could represent a gentle speaking person, a toadying person or someone who desires to be accepted by others, and should he find an opportune moment, he will spoil everyone's peace. Zikr If during his dream one speaks words of truth and wisdom, it means that he will recover from his adversity and be cured from his illness. Furthermore, he will move into a more comfortable life and begin a life of sharing and doing good deeds in this world, or he may receive guidance and light, and faith will permeate his heart. Blame Blaming someone in a dream, means the same in wakefulness, and consequently, one will suffer from people blaming him. If one sees people showering him with money in a dream, it means that they are speaking ill of him or blaming him. Vice-regent A vice-regent or a caliph in a dream also represents someone who establishes the laws of his religion and follows the example of Allah's Prophet, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam. Whatever he is wearing in the dream connotes one's own state, or the growing or diminishing of his devotion. If one who is promised something sees the vice-regent or the caliph in his dream, it means that his promise will be fulfilled, and his wishes will come true. Seeing him in a dream also means that someone from a different circle is backbiting him, or speaking of him without his consent, or that people are reporting him to the authorities, or that scholars are discussing him, or mentioning his work. Bow Holding a broken bow in a dream means losing one's job or closing one's business. Seeing a young man attaching a string to a bow in a dream represents one's enemy. Attaching a string to a bow in a dream also means marriage, while detaching the string of a bow in a dream means divorce. Seeing oneself standing before a ruler with two bows length between them mean receiving an appointment. The two bows in a dream also represent one's eye-brows. Sweets Seeing or eating sweets in a dream indicates one's sincerity in his religious attendance, release of a prisoner, arrival of a traveller, recovery of a sick person, marriage of an unwed person, guidance, repentance, learning the Quran, buying new clothing for one's children, having a loyal servant, or earning blessed monies. Seasonal sweets in a dream represent witnessing an annual festival, or the reinstatement of a just ruler. Garlic Garlic in a dream means agony and distress. Eating raw garlic in a dream means receiving unlawful money, speaking bad words, making sarcastic praises or bartering good for evil. However, eating cooked garlic in a dream means repentance. Only a sick person can benefit from eating fresh garlic in a dream. Gambling (Betting; Casting lots; Games; Risk) Gambling in a dream denotes something groundless, distress, falsehood or an unattainable goal. If one bets money or something with an adversary and wins his bet in a dream, it means that he will overcome him. Generally speaking, betting or gambling in a dream means quarrels, disputes, uptightness or agony in wakefulness. Bedroom (Bedchamber; Chamber) In a dream, one's bedroom signifies trickery or speaking soft words in fear of retribution, retaliation or rejection. One's bedroom in a dream also represents his inner thoughts. The good and the bad ones. Seeing a new bedroom in one's house, means renewing one's hopes, or affirming a good intention between the one seeing the dream and his Lord. Intoxicants Drinking alcohol in a dream means losing a fight. Using drugs or intoxicants in a contemptible way in a dream signifies apostasy, loss of honor, negation of the truth, corruption of one's wife, or it could mean profanity. This is because the raw material and herbs used in the preparation of such drugs and herbs are sacred in their intrinsic state. Air Falling in a dream also means relief from distress, wantonness, or satisfying one's needs. Clear, fresh and pure air in a dream represents a good time to take a trip for business or pleasure. Air in a dream also represents one's desire and passion. Thus, disobeying one's mind, desire and passion in a dream means entering the heavenly paradise. Following one's desires in a dream means negligence of once religious duties. Standing up in the air and speaking loud in a dream means blessings, favors, money, honor and fame. Incident - Hands being bounded by a black rope A person narrated the following dream to Ibn Sirin : “I saw in the dream that my son bounded my hands behind my back with a black rope. Tell me what does this mean.” The Imaam said:” Congratulations to you. You are in debt and your son will relieve you of this burden very shortly. Moreover, he will also relieve you of your burden of having to earn a livelihood and incurring further debts. For, blackness suggests affluence and sufficiency”. War correspondent (Correspondent; Exchanging letters; Spy) Exchanging letters between two army camps in a dream means nearing the end of one's life, quelling a riot, accepting the truth, following what is lawful, death of a sick person, or the victory of an oppressed person.
