Wielding an Unsheathed Sword Imaam Jafar (RA) says that anyone who sees himself as wielding a naked sword means he will speak out freely against the people and their affairs. And if he strikes someone with the sword but neither does he bleed nor the victim it means he will speak out openly against them. But if the victim bleeds in such a manner that the striker's body becomes soiled with his blood it means that in real life the victim will speak out freely against him or the striker will obtain unlawful wealth from him. Crucifixion • Being crucified alive: Dignity, honour, and religious righteousness.
• Being crucified and dead: Prestige coupled with corrupt religious faith.
• Being crucified and killed or after being killed: Prestige, but the dreamer will be lied to.
• Being crucified without remembering when that happened: (1) Lost money will come back. (2) If the dreamer is poor, will get rich. (3) Bad omen for the rich (according to some interpreters). Flower • Picking roses: Joy.
• Picking white flowers from one’s garden: Will kiss a virtuous woman with mutual passion.
• Dreaming of red flowers: The dreamer’s woman is of the gay type who likes artists, singing, dancing, et cetera, as opposed to a pious woman.
• Dreaming of yellow flowers: The dreamer’s wife has frail health.
• Picking flower buds: The dreamer’s wife will have a miscarriage, and the fetus will be a male child.

Pudenda (Also see Naked)
• The pudendum (the area of the body between the navel and the knee) being uncovered: The dreamer will fall in disgrace, his privacy will be invaded, and his enemies will rejoice at his misfortune.
• Showing one’s pudendum by removing one’s clothes or part thereof: The dreamer will lose the major portion of something he had already acquired, save for the equivalent of the part still covered. Such acquisition could be religious knowledge, for example.

Unit of weight (Measure; Weight) In a dream, a unit of weight may signify distress or it could mean relief. Descending Descending a steep slope in a dream also means safe landing, worldly blessings and nomination for a religious duty. Wedding • On the contrary, a wedding party in which dancing or any form of entertainment takes place heralds a tragedy. A particularly bad omen is the zaghrouda, the strident, long-drawn, and trilling shrill produced by Arab women by moving the tongue with the rapidity of the drumstick of an electric bell as a manifestation of joy. One zaghrouda means minor worries.
• A person giving a wedding party: Catastrophe.
• Being invited to a wedding ceremony: Joy and happiness, provided no food or banquet is seen.
• Organizing or looking after the preparations of a wedding party: Some members of the dreamer’s family will attend his funeral.

Blind • Being blind, then healed by a person: That person will lead the dreamer to the right path, help him repent, and serve his interests.
• A decent person dreaming of being blind in one eye: He is a true believer, and his testimony is genuine.
• A debauchee dreaming of being blind in one eye: (1) Will become half-religious. (2) Disease and worries will bring him near death. (3) Will be injured in the body, perhaps more particularly in one hand. (4) Harm will befall the dreamer’s children, wife, brother, or partner. (5) No more livelihood or gifts from God. Beard • The part between the lower lip and the chin represents the man’s asset (s), which he prides himself on.
• Seeing one’s beard half-shaven: Will become poor and unimportant.
• The beard being shaved by an unknown young man: The dreamer’s prestige will be shaken or completely destroyed by an enemy whom he knows, his homonym, or his counterpart.
• The beard being shaved by an old man: Prestige will disappear to a certain extent.

Kite (Small hawk) In a dream, a kite means an insouciant or a languorous ruler who is audacious, defiled and stout hearted. If one catches and trains a wild kite to hunt for him and he finds that it is not obeying him or holding fast to his wrist in a dream, it means that he will bear a son who will become a ruler. Otherwise, if the kite flies away from his wrist in the dream, it means that the fetus may die before birth. Its chicks represent boys and girls banding at wrongdoing. Adobe maker In a dream, an adobe maker represents someone who earns his money from his own sweat and saves his earnings. Molding these bricks and drying them in the sun in a dream means prosperity. Handling wet adobes or stampeding a wet adobe mix and smoothing it in a dream means distress, toiling, sorrow or corruption. Foot The foot symbolizes a man’s style and wealth. The toes are his male children, his boys, his servants, and his maids or slaves.
• One’s feet stretching upward or toward the sky till they are detached from the body: Two male children will die.
• Seeing one or many toes taking off to the sky: Some of the dreamer’s boys, maidens, or slave girls will die.
• Having hair on the toes: An overwhelming debt. Excessive hair means that the hero of such a dream will die in prison.

Pen A pen in a dream also represents one's manager, his controller, a cosigner, a witness in an agreement, entering into a marriage agreement, or it could represent an intelligent son who will become a famous writer. Owning a pen or receiving a one as a gift in a dream means acquiring knowledge. Then, if one proceeds to write with it in his dream, it means receiving an appointment, or occupying a position of authority. Looking at a pen one is holding in his hand and seeing another pen laying beside him in a dream denotes having a half brother, or if one's mother is pregnant, it means that she will deliver a new son. Gargoyle - Or Roof Gutter The gargoyle symbolizes a companion, sometimes well known; girls—free, slave, or servant—the boys that look after the place; relief, for it brings about relief by draining rainwater's; the messenger; and the honest person who never betrays or fails anyone, but gives everyone his due.
• Seeing gargoyles or drainage facilities but no rainwater therein: Dissension and conspiracies. Every gargoyle alludes to a neck that will be cut.
• Clean water flowing in the drainage facilities: Prosperity and security for the people of the area.

Slaughter • Slaughtering a woman: The dreamer will have sex with her.
• Slaughtering a female animal: The dreamer will make love to a woman and deflower a virgin.
• Slaughtering a male animal by attacking it from behind: The dreamer will sodomize such an animal.
• Slaughtering a young boy and grilling him: The dreamer will be unfair to that boy and slander him, provided the boy is old enough to be the one meant in the dream; otherwise the dream applies to his parents. Buy • Buying a male child: Very bad days are ahead.
• Buying a girl: Prosperity and happiness.

Wine If a sick person sees himself drinking wine in a dream, it means that he will receive the right medicine and recover from his illness. Drinking wine in a dream also means losing one's senses, or it could denote an evil happening. Drinking wine in the company of mentally disturbed people along with sedatives, drugs, music, dancing, farce, or ridiculous actions in a dream means that one will brake his pledge of allegiance to his guardian or ruler, deny his covenant to his Lord, or that he may start a war against his ruler. If a scholar sees himself drinking wine in a dream, it means that his knowledge will grow. If it is grape wine in the dream, it means that he will eat grapes outside of their season, or that he may require a drug preparation as a cure for an ailment, or it could mean earning lawful money, or falling into a shameful act. Jumping (Bounce; Hop; Leap) To see oneself hopping on one leg in a dream means moving from an old place into a new one. If one takes a broad leap with one jump in his dream it means travels. Hopping on one leg because of an illness or an impairment in a dream means loss of half of one's money or property and finding it difficult to sustain one's needs with the balance. Playing football or hopping with a ball, or jumping while performing acrobatic exercises, or gymnastic feats in a dream means profits or benefits for someone who is used to play such games, or participates in such training. Earthquake If one sees the earth moving under his feet in a dream, then it represents one's striving and pursuit of his business needs or livelihood. An earthquake in a dream also represents exposing secrets, hearing bad news, a general scare, public disturbances, the surfacing of new diseases. If one sees the walls crumbling and caving in a dream, it means his death. Seeing an earthquake in an arable land in a dream means fertility or a good harvest. An earthquake in a dream also may mean travels, dancing, abstraction of business or having an argument with one's family.
