Incident - Dream of Rabeeah bin Umayyah bin Khalf It is narrated that Rabeeah bin Umayyah bin Khalf came to Hadhrat Aboo Baker As-Siddeeq (RA) and said: “ O khaleefah of the Prophet Muhammad, I saw a dream last night. Bier • Biers of a graveyard known to the dreamer passing by: The dreamer or somebody else will get what is due to him or what is legally his.
• A big bier put in a given place: The people of that place will indulge in luxury and other abominations.
• Seeing oneself on a bier rolling on the ground: Will board a ship.
• A man seeing a bier advancing by itself on the ground: Will travel.

Stair • A sick or troubled person going down the staircase: (1) If he lands in a place he knows such as his house or on chopped straw or anything that alludes to the riches of this world: The dreamer will recover. (2) If he lands in an unknown place, in a well or a hole, or among dead people he knew or on a palanquin or a saddle of a travelling animal, et cetera, or on a ship that immediately sets sail, or in front of a ferocious lion that devours him or a bird that carries him away: The dreamer will die and the steps represent the days left in his life. Placing things To place things in the proper position, or to move them to a better place, or to give them a better environment in a dream means commanding what is good and forbidding what is evil. To downgrade things by placing them in an unfitting environment in a dream means the opposite, or it could mean bartering good for evil, or unjustly depreciating and devaluating an object. Earthquake In a dream, an earthquake represents fear of a higher authority. An earthquake in a dream is also interpreted to indicate major changes in that particular place, or a calamity that will befall a town or a country. If one sees the mountains rumbling, shaking and crumbling, then being restored to their original state in a dream, it means that a great happening will devastate such a place. If one sees the earth shaking or caving in, and if everything sinks into the ground, hitting a segment of the community and sparing another segment of it in the dream, it means that a calamity will befall that place, and it will manifest through social disorder, injustices or a plague. If one sees the earth shaking and the firmament rent asunder in a dream, it means that major adversities will hit their properties, cattle, farms and institutions, etcetera, as a divine chastisement for people's sins. Angels If one sees an angel taking the form of a child in a dream, it represents one's future. If he sees an angel as a youth, the youth then represents the present time and whatever events that will take place during it. If the angel appears in the form of an old man in the dream, he represents the past. If one sees the angels praying and asking for Allah's forgiveness on his behalf in a dream, it means that one's spiritual and religious life will grow for the better, and that he will become wealthy. Holy Book The Holy Book in a dream also represents gardens, heavens, places of worship, or a person one is commanded to obey, such as a ruler, or a father, a mother, one's teacher, or sheikh, or it could mean making a true oath, receiving glad tidings, admonition or a warning. Seeing the Holy Book or any of the early divine revelations in a dream means that one may preside over people. If one sees himself carrying the Holy Book, or even any book of revelations, and if when he opens it finds the pages blank with no writing inside it in the dream, it means that he portrays himself to be what he is not, or that he impersonates a scholar, or pretends to be religious. Cow If one sees himself riding a cow in a dream, it means that he will inherit a woman. If one is offered a cow hide as a gift in a dream, it means that he will receive money from someone in authority. On the other hand, if one is stripped of a cow's hide he owns in a dream, it represents a fine that he will have to pay. To see the calf of the Children of Israel in a dream means dissension, temptation or a murder. It also may mean a miraculous event, or that a heavenly sign will take place in that locality. If the person is disobedient to his mother, he will repent and turn to be good to her. If a cow butts against him in a dream, it means that Allah is displeased with him. Cemetery • Seeing a polytheistic cemetery: (1) Worries, sorrow, fear, and unhappiness. (2) Shaky religious faith. (3) A reference to heretic places and solitary confinement.
• A sick person dreaming of entering a cemetery: Will die from his ailment and end up there, especially if he had built a house in it in the dream.
• Entering a cemetery with awe, crying and reading or reciting the Holy Book or praying in the direction of Mecca (Makkah): Will mix with benefactors, be well noted and versed in religion, and will benefit from all that he sees or hears.
• Entering a cemetery uncovered, laughing, urinating on the tombs, or walking with the dead: Will be involved with evil, debauched, and atheistic people and select one’s friends on this basis. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Shelling (Bombing; Shooting) Shelling someone or a place in a dream represents an excuse or a stratagem. Shelling in a dream also means defaming the people of knowledge, slandering them, or exploiting a religious subject for fame and profits. Shelling someone or a place in a dream also may mean adversities and trials. Shelling the castle of one's enemy in a dream means speaking the truth, or invoking a strong prayer. Mattress A black mattress in the dream represents a woman who is engaged in doing something for other than Allah's pleasure. Buying a new and a beautiful looking mattress in a dream means marriage to a chaste and a beautiful woman. If the new mattress is torn or damaged in the dream, it means living with an impious woman. Changing the place of one's bed in a dream means divorce. If one finds himself unable to sleep on his bed in a dream, it means that he cannot have marital relationship with his wife, or perhaps he could be suffering from impotence. Pyramids Seeing the pyramids of Egypt in a dream means receiving news from a distant place. As for an unmarried person, seeing the pyramids of Egypt in a dream means his marriage to a foreigner, or embracing his or her religion, ideals, or it could mean pursuing one's schooling in arts and science. Noah (Allah's prophet Noah, Alayhi-Salam.) In a dream, Allah's prophet Noah (Alayhi-Salam) represents longevity, adversities, sufferings, triumph, children from a disgraceful wife, though one will remain content and grateful to Allah Almighty for His gift. It is said that one who sees the prophet Noah (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream will become a scholar, an assiduous worshipper and an obedient servant who exercises patience and forbearance. He will also triumph over his enemies and receive a magnificent endowment from his Lord. His companions will disobey him and by Allah's leave, he will win over them too. Seeing Allah's prophet Noah (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream also means rain and floods. Seeing him (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream also means suffering from many enemies, and from the jealousy and envy of one's neighbors. Being Beheaded And Following The Head Jabir reported that there came to Allah's Apostle (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) a desert Arab and said: Allah's Messenger, I saw in the state of sleep as if my head had been cut off and I had been moving on haltingly after it. Thereupon Allah's Messenger (?) said to that desert Arab: Do not narrate to the people the vain sporting of satan with you in your sleep and (the narrator) also said: I heard Allah's Messenger (?) in his subsequent address: None amongst you should narrate the vain sporting of devil with him in the dream. Bier • Plenty of biers put on the ground in a given place: The folk of that place are corrupt and indulging in adultery.
• A woman dreaming that she has died and been carried on a bier: Will get married. If already married, will relinquish her religion.
• Biers in the souk (marketplace): That market is full of adulterated goods and hypocrisy.
• Falling from one’s bier: Will be demoted; business and other interests will be stalled, and prestige will be lost.
• A well-known man placed on a bier with nobody approaching or carrying it: The subject of the dream will go to jail. If he is a stranger: Bad omen for the dreamer. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
Flying • Flying with birds: (1) Will flock with foreigners. (2) For an evil person: Bad omen. (3) Possible crucifixion. (4) For a fisherman: Coming ordeal.
• Flying with wings that do not resemble bird wings: Something extraordinary will happen to the dreamer, and people will marvel.
• Flying without wings: Fear and hardships, but also fulfilment of a wish and rising in life as high as the dreamer rose in the sky.

Cemetery • Seeing a cemetery: (1) Fear for a person who feels safe and vice versa. (2) Prayers and aspirations. (3) Repentance. (4) A reference to the Hereafter, as a cemetery is the gateway to it; to the asylum; to asceticism; to weeping; to preaching; to death, since a cemetery is the house of death; and to atheist and heretic places or the dwelling of aliens in a Muslim country, since a cemetery houses the dead and death, according to the rules of interpretation, means religious corruption. Likewise, a cemetery could refer to those who indulge in luxury; brothels; bars where drunkards lie like the dead; the homes of those who fail to pray and remember God or do any good; and prison, for the dead is locked in his grave like the prisoner in his cell. Mountain The mountain suggests a harsh and heartless king, ruler, or chief, unless there is water and vegetation in it, in which case such a man is a devout, religious, and good one. It also refers to a huge or giant man commensurate with the size of the mountain. It could be as well an erudite or an ascetic person, or a reference to high grades, upper standards, and divine places. Whatever befalls the mountain, like its crumbling or burning out, et cetera, should apply to the king, chief, or scholar it alludes to. Likewise, mountains symbolize aims and quests.
• Standing on top of a mountain, relying on it, or sitting in its shadow: Will be close to a chief, such as a sultan, a learned man or a secluded scholar, and become his protege. Dream Interpreter: Various Islamic Scholars
What Todo When Seeing A Bad Dream Abu Qatada reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) as saying: A good vision is from Allah and a bad dream (hulm) is from the satan; so if one of you sees anything (in a dream which he dislikes, he should spit on his left side thrice and seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and then it will never harm him. Abu Salama said: I used to see dreams weighing more heavily upon me than a mountain; but since I heard this hadith I don't care for it (its burden). (Muslim) Dream Interpreter: Imam Muslim
Marine Birds They symbolises the ministers of the king or government or their officers and officials if such birds are seen in the water.
