Incident - The Effect of a Dream's Meaning During a pilgrimage to Mecca, a sheikh was told in a dream that he would die on such and such date. When he returned home, he held that dream to himself and waited for the time to come. Once he passed that date stated in his dream, he waited a few more days, then told someone about it, saying: "I would have hot told you about this dream, had the date not passed." The person replied: "Perhaps you miscalculated the date, or maybe it is a confused dream." After returning to his home, the sheikh died during that same night. Angels (Celestial beings; Heavenly beings) If one sees the heavenly angels (arb. Malaika) coming before him to congratulate him in a dream, it means that Allah Almighty has forgiven that person his sins and endowed him with patience, through which he will attain success in this life and in the hereafter. If one sees the heavenly angels greeting him or giving him something in the dream, it means that his insight will grow, or that he maybe martyrized. If one sees angels descending upon a locality that is raging with a war in a dream, it means that the dwellers of that place will win victory. Incident - The father that hid his money In the morning, the son told a friend about his dream and added: "It is a fairy tale!" A few days later, the father came back to his son in another dream and said: "I have told you about something that will benefit you and that will free me from my limbo, but you failed to do it!" The son woke up in shock and immediately went to the place his father indicated in the dream. When he dug out the money, he paid his father's debts and benefited from his unanticipated inheritance. Happiness If one is told something that is supposed to make him happy, when in fact it made him sad in the dream, such as being told in a dream that so and so has just arrived from a long journey, when in fact such person has just died, it means that his sadness will be dispelled and his sorrows removed. Jackal The jackal is a man who denies people their rights or stands in their way. It is one of the animals that, according to religious belief, were once human beings before undergoing being cursed. Incident - Fly Coming Out Of Nose A man was asleep when his friend brought an open pitcher of milk and a water melon. The friend then cut a piece of the water melon and placed the milk and the pitcher beside his friend's pillow with the knife on top of the pitcher. He then sat down and waited for him to wake up. When the man woke up, he told his friend an amazing dream. He said: "I saw as though a type of fly came out of my nose, and it stood over a knife before reentering my nose. Paradise • Being driven or introduced to Paradise: (1) Death is near. (2) The dreamer will become wise and repent from sins at the hands of the person seen taking him to Paradise if that person can be identified.
• Being told, “Enter Paradise,” and refusing to obey: The dreamer is an apostate in view of a verse in the Holy Quran: “Lo! they who deny Our revelations and scorn them, for them the gates of Heaven will not be opened nor will they enter the Garden until the camel goeth through the needle’s eye. Thus do We requite the guilty.” (“Al-Araf [The Heights], verse 40.)

Illness Having an illness in a dream represents a sickening character, or a hypocrite. Finding oneself ill in a dream means enjoying a good health for that year, or it could mean loss of devotion and lack of piety. If a warrior finds himself sick in a dream, it means that he will be wounded. If one sees his wife sick in a dream, it means that she is negligent of her religious obligations. If a sick person sees himself riding an ox, or a swine in a dream, it means his death. A feverish illness in a dream means pressure caused by a ruler. Feeling sick, or feeling down with an undiagnosed illness in a dream means spending money, or wasting it in ways other than on Allah's path. Weasel The weasel is among the human beings that, according to religious belief, were cursed and turned into animals, says Ibn Siren. In dreams, it symbolizes a foolish and harsh person, unjust and with little, if any, mercy. The same interpretation for a cat applies to it. Ape The ape (or monkey as well) is a poor man deprived of his means of living. It belongs to the category of human beings who have been metamorphosed as a result of a legendary curse. It represents the wicked, spiteful, and cursing individual, the same as it symbolizes a Jew (according to the ancient Arabs) or a person who commits major sins.
• Fighting and overpowering an ape: Will be ill but recover, unless the ape had the upper hand.

Spider The spider is among the metamorphosed (human beings turned into animals as a result of a curse, according to religious belief). It symbolizes a damned and detestable woman who abandons her husband’s bed in favour of others.
• Seeing a spider: Will meet a weak but showy and vexatious man, a nouveau riche, or newly rich, person.
