Ali Ibn Abi Taleb He was the fourth caliph, from A.D. 656 to 661, when he was assassinated in Koufa, his capital. The essence of the Shiite movement in Islam is the contention that Ali, the son-in-law of the Prophet Muhammad, should have been the first caliph to succeed Prophet Muhammad (p b u h). Most often, dreaming of Ali, peace be upon him, or similar Imams means that the hero of such a dream will die as a martyr. • A king dreaming of Ali: Will conquer a country or overrun a bastion and be highly praised. • Seeing Ali means the dreamer will: (1) Triumph over enemies. Flying • A prisoner dreaming of flying: Will be freed soon. • A stranger or an expatriate dreaming of flying: Will return to his country. • Flying in the sky, then returning to earth: Will fall ill and be near death, but recover. • Flying and disappearing in the sky with no return in sight: Death. • A bondsman (or servant) dreaming of flying toward the sky: Will serve in the house of prominent personalities. • A bondsman (or servant) dreaming of flying inside his master’s house: Will become the number-one servant. If he falls, it means that he will be ousted after receiving all that welfare. If he flies out of the door, he will be sold. Jinn - Or Djinn • Having a child by the jinn: (1) Benefits from a mean person. Incest Also see Sex and Sodomy. • A reference to an illegitimate birth. • Marrying a relative whom Islam prohibits: Will prevail over one’s family. • Sodomizing one’s father: Will oust him from the country or be hostile to him. • Having sex with one’s father or mother without ejaculation: Will be good to him or her. If the dream had ended with an orgasm, it would mean the reverse. • A man dreaming or someone dreaming of him that he is having sex with his mother, sister, brother, or similar prohibited relations seen as dead in the dream: He is not supporting them as he should, but will change his attitude and become fair. It could also mean trouble and worries or, on the contrary, benefit to both parties. If they are seen to be alive in the dream, he does not have much affection for them. Navel The navel symbolizes the man’s wife, woman, or sweetheart from among his maids or slaves. It also refers to his enthusiasm. • Seeing one’s navel: The dreamer will return from abroad. • A person whose parents are alive dreaming that his navel is in bad shape: His parents are ill. Beehive In ancient times, if a king or ruler saw himself replacing the bees, it meant that he would select a heavily populated country, rich in legitimate resources, to add to his dominion. If he managed to enter their beehive, it meant that he would triumph and rule in the selected country. If he took the honey and left nothing to the bees, it meant that he would behave as a tyrant and confiscate the people’s property. Death • Death of the king: The country will be lost. • Death of the imam (Muslim spiritual leader): (1) Havoc in the city or country. Reading Reading a book in another language in a dream means travelling to such a country, or going to places one is not familiar with and performing a job that will earn him fame. If one sees himself reading a book in a foreign language and is unable to properly decipher its words in a dream, it means that he will escape from a potential danger he could face in such a land, or it could mean falling sick in a foreign country, then recovering from one's illness before returning to one's homeland. Bathroom • Dreaming of drinking hot water in a bathroom means one will have a fever or pleurisy. • Dreaming of seeing a bathroom in one’s lane or district means the emergence of a lewd woman or an adulteress there. • A man dreaming that he has become a bathroom attendant means he will marry a beautiful woman. • A lady dreaming that she has become a bathroom attendant means she is trying to manage her own affairs and promote her interests. • A man dreaming that he is building a bathroom means he will marry. • If one dreams of entering a bathroom the hotter the water, the more worries, anger or fury, sickness, evil, and deep troubles. Slave • Freeing a slave: Sacrifice. Hence a man dreaming that he has been set free from slavery will be the object of a sacrifice. • An indebted free person or one who has committed some sin dreaming that he has been set free from slavery: God will come to his rescue, or he will repent. • A bondsman dreaming that he has been set free: (1) The possible death of his master or himself.
