Family support (Alimony; Maintenance) To provide support for one's family and relatives in a dream mean prosperity, protection for one's children and concern for one's posterity. Whatever expenses one spends to support his family in a dream will be money he will receive in wakefulness. If one finds himself unwillingly giving family support or alimony to his wife in a dream, it means hypocrisy, or that he is nearing his death. Dream Interpreter: Ibn Sirin
Incident - Cutting off family ties Bishr bin Abi Al-'Aliya said: "I asked Muhammad about someone who saw his jaws fall out in a dream." He replied: 'This is someone who has cut off his ties with his family." Here again, Prophet Muhammad went to the origin, and in this case, it is one's teeth. In Islam, breaking relations with one's family is considered a major sin. Jubair Ibn Mut'in reported that Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) has said: "One who breaks his family ties will not enter paradise." (Bukhari & Muslim) Abu Iluraira, God be pleased with him, reported that Prophet Muhammad, Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam, has said: "Whoever wishes his fortune to increase and his life to be extended, should preserve his family ties." Gourd • Eating raw gourd: (1) Will have a quarrel and break with somebody. (2) Will be scared by a jinn.
• Sitting in the shadow of gourds: (1) Reunion with family or friends. (2) Reconciliation.
• Getting gourds from a watermelon farm: Will heal from a disease, thanks to a medicine or a prayer, in view of the story of the prophet Yunus (Jonas) as related in the Holy Quran: “Then We cast him on a desert shore while he was sick; and We caused a tree of gourd to grow above him….” (“Al-Saffat” [Those Who Set the Ranks], verses 145–46.) Incident - A barber shaving off Beard and Moustache It is related that in Baghdad some persons were seated together, relating their dreams to each other. One amongst them said : “Friends I wish to relate to you a strange dream I had seen. I saw a barber shaving off my beard and moustche. One awakening I proceeded to Imaam Jafar Saadiq (RA) and related to him the dream. He said: You are to become embroiled in some difficulty owing to which you will lose your honour and respectability amongst the people. This will cause you muich grief and sorrow. I was shocked by this interpretation. I returned home with difficulty and remained indoors for four days. One the fifth day I decided to go out for a walk When I reached the door of the masjid. Incident - Abu Hanifa digging the grave of Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) It is related that when Imaam Abu Hanifa (RA) was still a child, he dreamed tht he was digging the grave of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam). He related the dream to one of his tutors in the maktab. The teacher said to him: “My child, if your dream is genuine then you will follow in the footsteps of Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) and you will also do great research in his Shariah”. Limbs (Arm; Member) Limbs in a dream represent one's family. Seeing oneself dismembered in a dream means the dispersal of his family, or that he will cut off his blood ties, or it could mean undertaking a long journey and separating from one's family for a long time. Joseph (Allah's prophet Joseph, Alayhi-Salam; arb. Yusuf) Seeing Allah's prophet Joseph (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream means attaining high rank or a vice-regency. Seeing him (Alayhi-Salam) in a dream also could denote a time of rising prices, drought, loss of one's family, or suffering from people's stratagem, entering a prison, then be released by Allah's grace. It also denotes one's luck with women and adversities related to one's beauty and good character. Seeing Allah's prophet Joseph in a dream also means acquiring knowledge about dream interpretation, or catching one's enemy, then forgiving him, or digging a river, a water irrigation, or transporting dead people from one country to another. Earthquake If one sees the earth moving under his feet in a dream, then it represents one's striving and pursuit of his business needs or livelihood. An earthquake in a dream also represents exposing secrets, hearing bad news, a general scare, public disturbances, the surfacing of new diseases. If one sees the walls crumbling and caving in a dream, it means his death. Seeing an earthquake in an arable land in a dream means fertility or a good harvest. An earthquake in a dream also may mean travels, dancing, abstraction of business or having an argument with one's family. Fireplace (Hearth; Stove) An iron cast stove or a fireplace in a dream represents a woman who comes from a powerful and a strong family. If the stove or the fireplace is made from yellow copper or brass in the dream, then such a woman may have come from a house of a worldly and rich people. A wooden fireplace in a dream represents hypocrisy in such a family. If the fireplace is made of plaster in the dream, it means that such a family has associated itself with Pharaonic traditions or worship. Stomach In a dream, the stomach represents the elements of property, family, secrets, one's mate, prison, grave, health, sickness, friend, wayfarer, one's religious life and nature of one's devotion. If in a dream one sees his stomach open, it means that his business may be temporarily put out of commission, or that he may lose any benefits he used to derive from it up to then. The other aforementioned elements also may apply. If the person in question is a pregnant woman, and if she sees her baby or any part of it comes out of her open stomach, this may mean that a jailed person in her family will be set free, or that the family graves will be desecrated, or that the body of someone in her family will be exhumed, thus uncovering its diseases and infestations, or it could mean that one's personal life will become public knowledge. Incident - a cock packed at him once or twice It is related that Umar Bin Al-Khattaab (RA) saw that a cock packed at him once or twice. Someone asked him what the dream meant. Reciting Surah Hijr Whoever reads it in his dream his family will be protected against all calamities and he will become humble and submissive. And if is reader is a king his death is imminent. • A stove made of brass or bronze: A woman whose family enjoys all the riches of this world, including money, jewelry, and children.
• A wooden stove: A women whose folk are hypocrites.
• A stove made of gypsum or plaster of Paris: A woman whose folk are like pharaohs.
• A stove made of clay: A woman belonging to a religious family.
• A stove with the fire on: Authority.

Veins (Blood ties; Family; Relative; Vessel) The veins of the children of Adam represent their tribal belonging or clan. The parable of one's veins is like that of a tree and its branches. One's veins in a dream represent his family members, depending which part of the body they belong to. The condition and beauty of one's veins in a dream denote their counterpart in one's family. Thigh (Limb) One's thighs in a dream represent his family or clan. Anything that affects them in the dream will manifest in his family or clan. If one sees his thighs missing something in a dream, it means that he is a foreigner, or that he does not know his lineage or ancestry. Experiencing pain in one's thigh in a dream means doing harm to one's own family or clan. Incident - a bag filled with Snakes and Scorpions A person related his dream to Ibn Sirin (RA) saying that he had seen himself carrying a bag filled with snakes and scorpions. The Imaam interpreted the dream saying that he had one something as to cause the wicked people to hate him. He said: “Yes, I have been appointed by the Sultan to collect taxes from the Arabs. Incident - Ibn Marwan was pinned to the ground by Four Nails It is related that Abdullah bin Zubair (RA) saw in his dream that he is engaged in a duel with Abdul Malik Ibn Marwan, defeating the latter. The former also sees himself pinning his foe to the ground by means of four nails. When he awoke in the morning, he sent his man to Ibn Sirin (RA) for the interpretation of the dream. He also cautioned him not to reveal to the Imaam the name of the one who saw the dream, nor the winnr nor the loser. When the Imaam heard this he exclaimed: “This is not your dream! Nor can anyone except Abdul Malik Ibn Marewan or Abdullah bin Zubair see such a dream!” The Imaam decline to interpret the dream. The person returned to Abdullah bin Zubair and informed him tof the Imaam's refusal to interpret the dream until the real person who had seen the dream is not known. Abdullah bin Zubair 9RA) sent his messenger back to tell the Imaam that it was he who had seen the dream When the Imaam was informed to this and the fact that the loser was Abdul Malik bin Marwan he said that Ibn Marwan will gain victory over Abdullah bin Zubair, killing him in the process. Thereafter, the chain of Khilafat will reamin in the family of Ibn Marwan. This interpretation was given because of the fact that Ibn Marwan was pinned to the ground by means of four nails. Incident - Presenting a Interpretation It is related that Ameerul_Mumineen, Mansoor, dreamt that he had lost all his teeth. In the morning he called for an interpreter. The interpreter came and after listening to the dram, said to Mansoor: “All your relatives will die.” Upon this, Mansoor became infuriated, saying : “May Allah lock your mouth!
