Salt Salt has controversial interpretations. Ibn Siren did not like dreams involving salt. Some say white salt represents asceticism coupled with welfare and blessings. Cooking salt means worries, trouble, and disease or money earned the hard way and bringing about many problems.

Lion • Seeing a lion entering a house where a person is ill: The patient will die.
• A lion intruding in one’s house: Hardship on the part of the chief. If the beast suddenly devours the dreamer, he will be the victim of an injustice, his money will be stolen, or he will be beaten or killed at the hands of the ruler, especially if he dreamed that his soul had left his body or that his head had been cut off.
• Receiving a lion and seeing it in one’s place without bothering with it: Will be scared to death by the sultan, but no real harm will occur.
• A lion entering the city: A plague, hardships, a tyrant, or an enemy.

A Material Gift from Allah If a person sees Allah giving him something pertaining to the world, it means he will soon be afflicted with sickness. It may also mean that some hardship will befall him. Blood However, it must be pointed out that if the blood coming out from the person’s body was superfluous or unwanted, the dream would augur well, unlike dreams with excessive bleeding or haemorrhage.

Slave • A free man dreaming that he has been sold as a slave: (1) Will fall in a trap or will face hardships, because selling a free man is a humiliation. (2) Will be promoted and dignified. (3) Will receive some benefit (the story of Joseph).
• A slave man dreaming that he has become free: (1) Relief from hardships. (2) Settlement of debts. (3) Fulfilment of aspirations. (4) Recovery from a disease.
• A free man dreaming that he has been bought as a slave by a woman: Honour and dignity commensurate with the price paid for him.

Monk Becoming a monk means: (1) The dreamer is extremely heretical in view of the Quranic verse: “… But monasticism they invented …” (“Al-Hadid” [Iron] verse 27.) (2) Life will get hard and everything will be coupled with humiliation and fear. (3) The dreamer is a wicked, deceitful, and cunning person inciting people to follow his heretical thoughts. Cow • A bachelor acquiring a cow: Will marry a blessed woman.
• Riding on a cow: (1) Will get married. (2) Wife will die and will inherit from her.
• Riding on an identified cow: Richness and escape from trouble and all sorts of worry.
• Entering one’s own house on a cow’s back and tying her there: Will obtain a fortune, coupled with plenty of joy and the end of worries, especially if her color was black. Conversely, if she hit the dreamer with her horns, the dreamer would lose and never be safe from his family and relatives.

Walking Strutting or prancing in a dream represents an ugly state of mind that is coupled with evil actions. Falling down over one's face during walking in a dream means loss of benefits in this world and in the next. Tripping while walking in a dream means exposure of one's ills, and suffering the consequences of wrongdoing. To cause someone to trip while walking in a dream means ridiculing him, or delivering him a humiliating blow. To walk earnestly and steadily in a dream represents one's good intention. Drinking Sea Water If a person dreams that he is drinking sea water and the water is not turbid or muddy nor are any waves seen in such waters it means he will acquire as much of the wealth of this world as the amount of water he had drunk. Moreover he shall lead a clean and happy life. But if the water is brackish or filthy or the ocean is shrouded in darkness or the water assumes the form of huge, frightening waves it suggest he will be afflicted with grief, fear and hardship, the intensity of which will depend on how much of the above conditions prevail in the water or ocean. In a dream, Eve represents prosperity, blessings, a good harvest, a good yield, progeny, profits from a business in textile, farming, smithcraft or similar industries. Seeing Adam and Eve in a dream means being demoted from a station and a place of honor to a lower rank to be raised again after repenting from one's sin. Seeing Eve in a dream also indicates pitfalls, sins, being subject to jealousy and malicious fraud, or trouble with one's neighbors. Seeing Adam and Eve in a dream also means hardships caused by one's wife or children, consent for sexual intercourse, repentance or regret for one's past. Crucifixion • Being crucified alive: Dignity, honour, and religious righteousness.
• Being crucified and dead: Prestige coupled with corrupt religious faith.
• Being crucified and killed or after being killed: Prestige, but the dreamer will be lied to.
• Being crucified without remembering when that happened: (1) Lost money will come back. (2) If the dreamer is poor, will get rich. (3) Bad omen for the rich (according to some interpreters).
