Incident - Ibn Marwan was pinned to the ground by Four Nails It is related that Abdullah bin Zubair (RA) saw in his dream that he is engaged in a duel with Abdul Malik Ibn Marwan, defeating the latter. The former also sees himself pinning his foe to the ground by means of four nails. When he awoke in the morning, he sent his man to Ibn Sirin (RA) for the interpretation of the dream. He also cautioned him not to reveal to the Imaam the name of the one who saw the dream, nor the winnr nor the loser. When the Imaam heard this he exclaimed: “This is not your dream! Nor can anyone except Abdul Malik Ibn Marewan or Abdullah bin Zubair see such a dream!” The Imaam decline to interpret the dream. The person returned to Abdullah bin Zubair and informed him tof the Imaam's refusal to interpret the dream until the real person who had seen the dream is not known. Abdullah bin Zubair 9RA) sent his messenger back to tell the Imaam that it was he who had seen the dream When the Imaam was informed to this and the fact that the loser was Abdul Malik bin Marwan he said that Ibn Marwan will gain victory over Abdullah bin Zubair, killing him in the process. Thereafter, the chain of Khilafat will reamin in the family of Ibn Marwan. This interpretation was given because of the fact that Ibn Marwan was pinned to the ground by means of four nails. Beating (Blow; Hit; Lash; Whip) To hit someone with a staff in a dream means bringing back to life something that died away or investigating the cause of a death or clarifying something. To beat someone with a wooden stick in a dream means failing to fulfill a promise, or it could mean lying to someone. If someone in authority hits his employee in a dream, it means that he will give him a raise. If he hits him on his back in the dream, it means that he will pay his debt. Beating If one hits someone head with a stick in a dream, it means that he desires his position or it may denote his jealousy. If one hits someone between the eyes in a dream, it means that he wants him to get lost. Beating someone in a dream also means to rebuke, revile or insult him, or it could mean to admonish him. Beating someone over his scull in a dream means that the victim in the dream will attain excellence of expression and reach his goals. If he hits him over the earlobe and if it bleeds in the dream, it means that the assailant will rape and deflower the daughter of the victim. Dig • Going to a grave and digging the earth with one’s nails or trying to unearth the dead: Will probe the life of the dead dwelling in that grave to follow his pattern.
• Trying to unearth one’s body: The dreamer is a materialist, running after worldly matters, and will succeed only if he managed to disinter the corpse.
• An animal digging the earth or soil in one’s yard with its pawns or hooves: Beware of an enemy.
• Digging with one’s nails in an inappropriate place: The dreamer is after something very difficult.
• Digging a grave or a pit for oneself or somebody else: (1) Will build a house. (2) Will settle in that area.
• Digging a grave on a surface: Will live long.

Dig Digging symbolizes sly backbiting, wasted speech, or simple endeavours. The gravedigger is a prestigious and awesome man.
• Digging in the grave of a holy man with one’s nails: The dreamer is endeavouring to follow the path of the deceased.
• Digging in the grave of the Muslims Prophet Muhammad with one’s nails: The dreamer will refresh his memory about the Sunnah (Muhammad’s Tradition) and will benefit many people. Sword • Being girded with two or three swords that break loose or fall: Will divorce one’s wife irrevocably by swearing three times.
• Drawing a sword: The dreamer is asking people to testify in his favour, but they refuse.
• Drawing one’s sword to find it oxidized: Wife will give birth to an ugly or obscene boy.
• A man drawing his sword on the dreamer: That man has prepared a diatribe. (1) If he hits the dreamer and no blood comes out: What the assailant says will be true. (2) If he hits the dreamer without injuring him: The dreamer will triumph over the attacker. (4) If he strikes without cutting anything, but blood oozes out: The attacker will calumniate the dreamer and come out with sheer fabrications about him.

Arrows If one shoots an arrow and hits his target in a dream, it means that he will reach his goal, or if he wishes to have a child, it means that he will bear a son. An arrow in a dream also represents a messenger, profits, a son, longevity or new clothing. If the arrows are made from reeds in one's dream, they mean falsehood and prattle. If they have arrowheads in the dream, then they represent a talkative person who if he hits his target, it means that he does what he says. If the arrowhead breaks in the dream, it mean that he is sending a message to a woman because of another woman. The arrowhead in a dream represents strength, power or disturbance. • Piercing a pearl with a wooden nail: Will make love to a prohibited relative. A man told Ibn Siren he dreamed that he was piercing a pearl. “Do you know your mother?” the interpreter asked. “No, she was taken captive when I was a small child.” “Have you recently bought a slave?” “Yes.” “Do you sleep with her?” “Yes.” “Then fear God, for she is that mother.”

Scissors (Clippers; Shears) In a dream, scissors mean slander and causing harm to someone's reputation without regard for the truth. Scissors in a dream also represent a legal guardian who discerns between true and false. Holding a pair of scissors in a dream means delivering a brother for one's first born son, or having two businesses feeding one another, unless if one is unmarried, then holding a pair of scissors, or a nail clipper in a dream means getting married. The Prophet Muhammad's (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) Drinking A Bowl Of Milk Narrated Ibn 'Umar: I heard Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) saying, "While I was sleeping, I was given a bowl full of milk (in a dream), and I drank of it to my fill until I noticed its wetness coming out of my nails, and then I gave the rest of it to 'Umar." Thunderbolt Thunderbolts in a dream are signs of punishment, illness or death. If a thunderbolt hits and burns something in the dream, it means false rumours, damages, financial losses, recession, or dumping of merchandise. A thunderbolt in a dream also means a warning for a sinner, the punishment for his crime, devastation, calamities, diseases, tornados, plagues, a blast, a major political shift, tyranny, decapitation, a bad death, incineration, burning people alive, or a robbery. Elephant Riding an elephant during the daylight hours in a dream means divorce, perfidy, betrayal or deceit. Milking an elephant or taking something out of its trunk in a dream means either extortion or receiving lawful money from a powerful person. It is also said that an elephant in a dream represents a mighty king who is gracious and generous, patient and tender hearted. If an elephant hits someone with his trunk in a dream, it means receiving benefits from such a person or inheriting something from him, receiving a political appointment, or becoming wealthy through high connections.
