But if the water is seen in the form of a spring emitting gfrom within the walls or any such place from which the flowing of water is regarded as strange and absurd, if suggest that the folks of that settlement will be visidted with some calamity causing them much grief, sorrow, fear and weeping, the intensity of which will depend on the force of the water gushing out from such a spring. • Being thirsty in front of a river but abstaining from drinking from it: The end of sorrow and troubles in view of a verse in the Holy Quran that says: “When Talut [Saul] set forth with the armies, he said: God will test you at the stream: If any drinks of its water, he is not of me, and whosoever tasteth it not, he is of me. A mere sip out of the hand is excused. But they all drank of it, except a few. When they crossed the river,—he and the faithful ones with him,—they said: This day we cannot cope with Goliath and his forces. But those who were convinced that they must meet God said: How many a little company hath overcome a mighty host by Allah’s leave! Allah is with the steadfast.” (“Al-Baqarah” [The Cow], verse 249.) Fountainhead If the water is pure and clean in the dream, it means depression along with a strong and a healthy body. What is disliked in such dreams is the murky water. If one owns a stream in a dream, it represents one's livelihood, his shop, business, work, or one's good deeds that remain beneficial even after his death and until the Day of Judgment such as a blessed progeny, a school or a mosque he builds, a road he opens, a book of knowledge he leaves behind, or a charitable endowment. Seeing waters overflowing from a fountainhead and flooding one's property means sadness, crying and sorrow and the same applies if one drinks from that water in his dream.
