Baby crow (Fledgling; Nestling) A fledgling crow in a dream represents poverty, need, separation from one's parents and segregation from one's relatives or clan. If one is experiencing such adverse conditions in wakefulness, then seeing a fledgling crow in a dream means satisfaction of one's needs and reunion with his family. When the egg hatches and the baby crow comes out of it, the parents shy away from their fledgling and remain distant from the nest. Then Allah Almighty will provide the nestling crow with various types of flies to eat from. Vessel The vessel symbolizes everything that saves the dreamer, by allegory to Noah’s ark. It refers particularly to Islam, which salvages human beings from their ignorance or atheism, or to the wife or slave-girl who immunizes the dreamer by ensuring his sexual sufficiency and saves him from the temptation of other women, which might lead to adultery or corruption in society. By so doing, the dreamer’s woman also saves him from Hell in the Hereafter. It also alludes to the dreamer’s parents who protected him when he was a baby from hunger and death, more particularly his mother, whose womb was like a ship he was riding in. Pregnancy If one sees his pregnant wife delivering a baby boy in a dream, it means that she will give birth to a girl and the opposite maybe true, except if it is common for the person in the dream to experience in wakefulness what he sees in his dream. If one sees himself delivering a baby from his mouth in a dream, it means his death, or it could mean that he will use poised and pleasant words in a conversation with someone he is careful not to offend. If a man gives birth to a baby boy in a dream, it means that he will carry a heavy burden then escape from it, or it could mean that he will vanquish his enemy, or it could mean that he may escape from a treacherous woman. If a pregnant woman sees herself delivering a child in a dream though having not had sexual intercourse with her husband, it means that she will discover a hidden treasure. • A man dreaming that he has given birth to a baby boy: (1) Will get ill. (2) Will be delivered from a certain worry. (3) Will get rid of a mean woman.
• A man dreaming that he has given birth to a baby girl: (1) Relief from all hardships. (2) Someone from the dreamer’s lineage will prevail over his folk. (3) Will hear some great news.
• A woman delivering a cat from her vagina: She will give birth to a thief.

Speaking If a beast talks to someone in a dream, it means his death. If one's head or nose talk to him in a dream, it means that whoever these two members represent in one's life (See Body) will suffer from an adversity. If a tree speaks to someone in his dream, it means benefiting from that line of thinking. A talking tree in a dream means a fight, or the end of one's exile. The speech of a tree in a dream also could mean exaltation. Whatever a baby says in a dream is true. It also could mean falling into sin. Vessel Likewise, the ship represents prison, especially when it stands still, in view of the story of the prophet Yunus (Jonas), who was locked like a prisoner in the stomach of a whale after his ship was wrecked. Little girl If a mother delivers a sick baby girl in a dream, it means relief from her difficulties. If she gives birth to such a child from her mouth, then it means death. A little girl in a dream also means a new world, while a young girl in a dream implies getting a new job. If a woman sees a little girl in a dream, it means that she cannot conceive children. If one hires a little girl to work for him in a dream, it means that he will receive glad tidings. If he hires a little boy, then it means bad news. Lion The lion is a ruler, a tyrant, or a powerful and very dangerous person, in view of the ferocity and devastating anger of that animal. It also symbolizes the warrior, the swindler, the thief, the treacherous worker, the policeman, the insatiable enemy, and perhaps hardships and death, because he who stares at it turns pale, loses his self-control, and is as good as dead, says Ibn Siren. Furthermore, it represents the ruler who embezzles public funds and commits injustice and the lurking enemy. The lioness symbolizes the daughter of a king. The baby lion (lion’s whelp or cub) is a boy. A man told Ibn Siren, “I dreamed that I was embracing and nursing a baby lion.” When the great seer looked at him, saw his humble appearance and miserable garments, and understood that he could not be eligible for any honour, he said, “What could you possibly have to do with the children of princes?!” and he added, “Is your wife, by chance, breast-feeding the son of a prince?” “Yes,” was the reply. Adobe maker In a dream, an adobe maker represents someone who earns his money from his own sweat and saves his earnings. Molding these bricks and drying them in the sun in a dream means prosperity. Handling wet adobes or stampeding a wet adobe mix and smoothing it in a dream means distress, toiling, sorrow or corruption. Mountain • Launching the athan, or call for prayers, from the mountaintop while facing the Qiblah (the direction of Mecca (Makkah)) or throwing arrows from there: The dreamer will become famous as far as his voice or arrows reached, and his orders will be carried out in that range.
• Standing afraid on a mountain: Will be secure. For a person travelling by sea such a dream means that the ship will have to return or moor at the nearest port because of some technical trouble. But the dreamer will be safe. However, according to Ibn Siren, fleeing from a ship to seek refuge on a mountain means that the dreamer will perish, in view of the story of Noah’s son as related in the Quranic verses: “And it sailed with them amid waves like mountains, and Noah cried onto his son—and he was standing aloof—O my son! Come ride with us, and be not with the disbelievers. He said: I shall betake me to some mountain that will save me from the water. (Noah) said: This day there is none that saveth from the commandment of Allah save him on whom He hath had mercy. Wash • Washing, especially after sex: Things will go through; will be purified from sins and will have no more worries.
• Washing, then putting on new clothes: (1) Will become rich. (2) Leadership will be restored. (3) Will be freed from jail. (4) Will recover from a disease. (5) Business will flourish. (6) Will pay back all debts. (7) Will go to Mecca (Makkah) for the pilgrimage.
• Wearing tattered clothes after washing: Worries and poverty.

Child birth (Giving birth) Seeing one's wife giving birth to a baby son in a dream when in fact she is not pregnant means wealth. If a pregnant woman sees herself giving birth to a baby girl in a dream, it means a boy, and if she gives birth to a boy in the dream, it means a girl. Giving birth to a girl means relief from distress, while giving birth to a boy in the dream means distress and worries. If a sick person sees his mother giving birth to him in a dream, it means the approach of his death, for a deceased person is wrapped in a shroud, while a newborn is wrapped with a receiving cloth.
