Scholars If one sees a scholar who is considered to be a reference in religious knowledge, and if one accepts his admonition in the dream, though in wakefulness he does not follow this school of thought, it means that he will be tried with an adversity that will be remembered by people for sometime to come, though his testimony will be accepted by the people. If a well-known early scholar appears in one's dream when the dwellers of that locality are experiencing adversities, economic distress or a drought, it means that their calamity will be lifted. Seeing an unknown scholar, or an unknown religious doctor in a dream means that a physician or a philosopher may visit one's house. Scholars (Early companions; Legist; Masjid; Men of knowledge; Mosque; Religious doctors; Righteous men) A scholar in a dream represents glad tidings, a promotion, or a commendation and it represents one who acts upon what he knows and says. Seeing one of the early scholars in a dream means increase in one's knowledge, for they were the wise representatives of Allah's message on earth. Seeing them also means increase in one's wisdom, happiness, joy, and one's dream could mean that one will stand to admonish people or counsel them. Burial The burial symbolizes ten things: (1) Jail. (2) Poverty or misery. (3) Travel. (4) Distance. (5) Delay or procrastination. (6) Forbidden sex. (7) Declining capacity. (8) Gloating or rejoicing at another’s misfortune. (9) Uneasiness and paucity of resources. (10) Things that turn sour.
• Attending a burial: Will receive a double reward from God.
• Being dead and buried: (1) Will embark on a long journey and earn plenty of money that will revive the dreamer’s economy, in view of verses in the Holy Quran that read: “Then causeth him to die, and burieth him; then, when He will, He bringeth him again to life.” (“Abasa” [He Frowned], verses 21–22.) Burial If one sees himself being buried after his death in a dream, it means that he will undertake a long journey during which he will be short of money. If one sees himself being buried alive and if he recognizes the one burying him in the dream, it means that the latter will assault him, oppress him, imprison him or cause him injustice. If he dies in his grave after his burial in the dream, it means that he may die from such sufferings. Should he survive such adversities in the dream, it means that he will escape from such fear, prison or injustice. Burial The same interpretation is given if one sees a prophet or a holy man walking out of his grave alive. To be buried after death, after sunrise, at noon or at the sunset hour in a dream means that one is being warned about doing what is good and abstaining from what is evil. To be buried alive in a dream is wrong and means betrayal. It could also mean marriage, prosperity or peace and tranquillity after suffering and hardships. If one sees a deceased person burying him alive in a dream, it means that one's due debts are not paid, or that one will be imprisoned to satisfy his debts, or that his collateral was not accepted. To bury a dead person twice means that one is covering his faults. If one sees a deceased person burying another deceased person in a dream, it means unity, clearing of the hearts, love and friendship between relatives, or perhaps it could mean imprisonment, marriage, a sickness, a trust, or guaranteeing a loan. Seeing oneself being buried after death in a dream means that one needs to repent before death. Should he still walk alive from his burial in the dream, it means that he may repent again. Burial If the other person places him inside a coffin in a dream, it means that he will move to a new home. If the other person fills the grave with dirt on top of him in the dream, it means that he will be piled with money equal to the amount he is being buried under in the dream. It is said that to be buried alive in a dream means losing one's spirituality or religious commitment, unless one comes out of it alive. If one walks out of his grave covered with dirt, then shakes off the dust in the dream, it means that his state is hopeless or that his repentance has little chance to hold. To be buried alive in a dream means imprisonment or despise by others, or a severe punishment which makes one's chastisement an exemplary lesson to others, If a gnostic or a wise man is seen buried alive inside his own house, or if he is brought out of it alive in a dream, it means that one will inherit him in knowledge, wisdom and status. Burial • Throwing sand on a man’s head or handing him over to the undertakers in the grave pit: Will cause that man’s doom.
• Seeing oneself being put in an open grave: Will have a house. In case the sand had been levelled on the dreamer, he would obtain money, as much as there was sand.
• Burying a useful animal: (1) Regret. (2) Savings.
• Burying an odious animal: Will come across a man with similar characteristics.
• Burying an object: You are materialistic.

Burial • Being buried alive in a grave: The doer will subdue the dreamer and perhaps lock him up, but the latter will escape such harm, unless he died in the rest of the dream, in which case he would die overwhelmed by all sorts of trouble and related worries.
• Burying a living person: Will triumph over enemy.
• Burying one’s enemy: Will overpower him.
• A group of people burying a person: (1) Bad omen. (2) Those people will gang up to destroy that person.

Legist (arb. Faqir; Religious scholar; Scholar; Theologian) A legist in a dream represents intelligence, awareness, knowledge and seeking to study different branches of religious knowledge. Angels If a dying person is told in the dream that no angels have come to see him, then it is a testimony of his good character and piety, or it could mean payment of one's debts or recovering from an illness. Angels in a dream also could represent scholars, Gnostics or translators who understand people's languages and speak in many tongues. As for Munkar and Nakir, the angels who come to one's grave upon his burial to question him, seeing them in a dream means prosperity for a poor person, and finding work for a jobless person. Prophet A prophet in a dream also represents a religious scholar, because religious scholars are the heirs of the prophets, upon all of them be peace. Religious scholars also know Allah's prophets better than the common people. They understand their message and follow their traditions of glorifying Allah's Oneness, devotion, piety, prayers, charity, acting upon what they know and admonishing others to follow the path of truth and righteousness. A prophet in a dream also represents one's superior, a preacher, a righteous Imam, a conscientious teacher and a caller to Allah Almighty. Seeing any of Allah's prophets looking gracious, stately and courtly in a dream also represents his people's devotion, or that a major and a positive change will take place among his followers. If such a prophet looks spurious, unhappy in a dream, or if he appears in a state that does not befit Allah's prophets, it means that his followers in the world have deviated from his path and created their own religion, opposing his commands, falsifying and interpreting his message to their own liking and abusing his admonition. If one claims to be a prophet in a dream, it means that he will become known in his field, or if he qualifies, he may become a ruler, a judge, a teacher or a caller to Allah Almighty, commanding what is good and forbidding what is evil. Jasmine In a dream, jasmine denotes happiness, blessings and benefits. It also represents religious scholars and spiritual teachers. If one sees heavenly angels descending from the heavens to pick jasmine flowers in a dream, it means the death of scholars. Jasmine in a dream also means despair, or making a false oath. It also could mean dispelling anxieties, distress and adversities. As for a bachelor, jasmine in a dream means getting married. Cemetery If one sees himself visiting a graveyard for seclusion, self-awakening and self-restraint, then if he reflects about words of truth, wisdom and repentance in his dream, it means that he will be asked to judge between two people, and that he will rule with justice. If one does not contemplate thus in the dream, it means that he will forget about something important or dear to his heart. If one enters the graveyard calling to prayers in a dream, it means that he will admonish people, commands what is good and forbids what is evil. If one sees himself entering a graveyard and walking over the scattered bones of the dead people in a dream, it means that he will die and be buried there. A cemetery in a dream also represents admonition, reading the Quran, crying, reminiscence, piety, surrender to one's destiny and discarding worldly gains. A cemetery in a dream also may represent the scholars, ascetics, governors, leaders, camps or a brothel. The graves of saints or shrines in a dream signify innovation, heedlessness, intoxication, adultery, corruption and fear.
