Prophet Dislikes Shackles Ibn Sirin reported from Abu Huraira a hadith from Prophet Muhammad (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) and he mentioned in his hadith his words: " I dislike shackles," up to the end of his statement, but he made no mention of this:" A vision is a forty-sixth part of Prophecy." Interpretation According to the Varying Conditions of people If a righteous and noble person sees himself as handcuffed or placed in a pillory. It means he will remain safeguarded against mischief and wickedness. But if the observer of such a dream is wicked it suggests that he will commit excessive sins due to which he will be doomed to hell-fire May Allah, through His infinite mercy, save us from hell-fire, Ameen. Then there passed before me, 'Umar bin Al-Khattab wearing a shirt he was dragging it (on the ground behind him.)" Some of them (the shirts) reaching their breasts, and some of them reaching below that." He said: "Then 'Umar was presented before me and he was wearing a shirt that was dragging." A Believer Seeing A Dream Abu Hurarirah narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) said: "Dreams are of three types: The true dream, dreams about something that has happened to the man himself, and dreams in which the Shaitan frightens someone. So whoever sees what he dislikes, then he should get up and perform Salah." And he would say: "I like fetters and I dislike the iron collar." And he would say: " Whoever has seen me (in a dream) then it is I , for indeed Shaitan is not able to resemble me." So when one of you sees what he dislikes, then he should get up and perform Salat." Abu Hurairah said: "I like fetters and dislikes, the iron collar. Obstinacy (Obtrusive; Stubbornness) Obstinacy in a dream means witnessing or committing evil in wakefulness. To be obstinate, demanding and persistent in a dream also means running away from something, or turning one's back to a fight, a dispute, an argument or a business. Obstinacy in a dream also may denote a presumptuous and an arrogant person who is disliked by people. Being obtrusive and obstinate in a dream also may mean being exasperated or annoyed about something, or that people dislike to be in his company and have serious reservations about him. Young man If one meets an unknown young man whom he dislikes in a dream, it means that such an enemy will surface and people will abhor him. If one happens to like him in the dream, then it means that he will face an enemy whom most people like and sympathize with. If a young man sees himself turned into an old person in a dream, it means that he will suffer major losses in his life. A young man or a teenager in a dream mostly represents an enemy, for a teenager rarely respects or heeds the advice of his peers. Irrationality If one acts irrationally in a dream, it means that he will act with disgrace, stupidity or shamelessness in real life. Being irrational in a dream and intentionally using violent or insulting words, and acting deliberately in an evil way means despair of Allah's mercy. It also means refuting or opposing something. It is also interpreted to mean attending to one's prayers without the ritual ablution. Irrationality in a dream also may mean insolent behavior, or ill speaking of peoples honor or chastity. The Difference Between Good Dreams And Bad Dreams Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri: The Prophet said, "If anyone of you sees a dream that he likes, then it is from Allah, and he should thank Allah for it and narrate it to others; but if he sees something else, i.e., a dream that he dislikes, then it is from Satan, and he should seek refuge with Allah from its evil, and he should not mention it to anybody, for it will not harm him." Dreams Near The Day Of Judgement Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (Sallallaahu-Alayhi-wasallam) as saying: When the time draws near (when the Resurrection is near) a believer's dream can hardly be false. And the truest vision will be of one who is himself the most truthful in speech, for the vision of a Muslim is the forty-fifth part of Prophecy, and dreams are of three types: one good dream which is a sort of good tidings from Allah; the evil dream which causes pain is from the satan; and the third one is a suggestion of one's own mind; so if any one of you sees a dream which he does not like he should stand tip and offer prayer and he should not relate it to people, and he said: I would love to see fetters (in the dream), but I dislike wearing of necklace, for the fetters is (an indication of) one's steadfastness in religion.
