A Material Gift from Allah If a person sees Allah giving him something pertaining to the world, it means he will soon be afflicted with sickness. It may also mean that some hardship will befall him. Knife handle (Haft; Saber guard; Sword hilt) Seeing a knife handle or a sword haft in a dream means that one still has a property or a minimum amount of property, including but not limited to livestock, gold, silver, or cash savings that is subject to the obligatory (Zakat) alms tax. Bars of Silver Seeing these in the dream is regarded as better than seeing bars of gold since they (bars of silver) symbolise excellence and good fortune. Dry Grass Dry grass serves as a harbinger for receiving gold in the near future, Ibn Sirin (RA) used to refer to grass as pure gold. One, when he was presented with a camel load of dry grass, he looked at it for a long time, then said: “I wish I had seen this in my dream!”, for then he would have received gold. Jew • Becoming a Jew means: (1) The dreamer will commit all sorts of prohibitions. (2) The dreamer will become a heretic, believe the Jews, corroborate their statements, be lost on the spiritual plane, and show fanaticism in favour of the Hebrews. (3) The dreamer will no longer observe the five pillars of Islam: Attesting that there is no God but Allah and that Muhammad is His Messenger; praying five times a day; fasting during the holy month of Ramadan; paying the zakat (a special system of religious dues and alms); and performing the pilgrimage whenever possible. Nail • Having nails so long that they may break: The dreamer is abusing his power to such an extent as to ruin everything.
• Treating something with one’s nails: Swindling.
• Filing or smoothing one’s nails: The dreamer is paying the zakat (Muslim religious dues) on Eid-ul-Fitr (the Bairam feast).
• An old man ordering the dreamer to polish his nails: For his endeavours to succeed the dreamer should take care of his appearance and preserve his prestige.
• Any ailment in the nails: Waning power and decaying piety and livelihood.
• Having no nails: The dreamer is bankrupt.

Sword • A man whose wife is not pregnant dreaming of drawing his sword from its scabbard: (1) If the sword is clean and glittering, the dreamer will address someone and his statements will be truthful and well received. (2) If the sword is oxidized, whatever the dreamer says will be neither true nor accepted. (3) If the sword is too heavy, the dreamer will say something intolerable. (4) If there is a flaw or a defect in the sword, the dreamer will not express himself properly or will have an impediment in his speech.

Accountability In a dream, accountability has various levels of interpretations. If an employee sees that he has received his account promptly in a dream it means rising in rank and increase of one's income. If one sees himself under a strict supervision or reckoning in a dream, it means humiliation, distress or perhaps loss of his job. If a person is investigated in a court of people he does not know in a dream, it means that he has strayed into innovation and will remain accountable for his deeds. Sword If one's head is cut off with a sword in a dream, it means that the one who received the blow will triumph over the one who beheaded him, or receive benefits through him . If one's body is dismembered with a sword in a dream, it means that he may travel far, or that his progeny will disperse across the land. A sword in a dream also represents wealth, power or knowledge. Waving a sword during a duel in a dream means becoming known in one's field or profession. Highwayman - Or Any Assailants, Bandits Or Robbers Who Intercept A Person • A highwayman stealing something from the dreamer: The person seen in the role of the highwayman will lie and contradict the dreamer.
• Seeing oneself as a highwayman or stealing someone’s belongings: The dreamer will be severely ill, then recover.
• A gang surging from nowhere to manhandle the dreamer: The dreamer will triumph over enemies in view of a verse of the Holy Quran that reads: “That (is so). And if one has retaliated to no greater extent than the injury he received, and is again set upon inordinately, God will help him; for God is the One That blots out (sins) and forgives (again and again).” (“Al-Hajj” [The Pilgrimage], verse 60.) Finger If the fingers are interpreted as money, then the fingernails represent the due alms tax. (arb. Zakat). If they are interpreted to represent an army in the dream, then the fingernails represent their weapons. Fingers in a dream also represent the days, months or years. When fingers are interpreted to mean money, and if someone cuts off his finger in a dream, it means that he will suffer from financial losses. Long fingers in a dream are regarded as greed.
